DA Website Hacked

There have been a number of large scale SQL injection attacks over the past 2 weeks - I doubt they were 'hacked' as such - simply 'infected'.

yea several of my clients have had this been a pain in my ass, especially because I didn't write the code...

SQL injections are so easy to overcome, yet it's so often still used.... now at least I know which web designers not to use....

Not protecting a site agains SQL injection is just plain old lazy programming. It's easy to do, and should be done on all sites. People should be more vigilant when choosing a website developer...

Exactly, it's basic security to cover sql injection...

maybe someone got hired to do the job.....

It's an ASP site... hello, that's very easy to hack... or even find and remove the database, since most ASP sites use an MS Access database (which is simply a file on the server). And in my experience, ASP sites have never been well written, and most are easy to hack.

It would have been faster to bring it up *couple hours* but i heard from a source that they were going to try the other parties technique of putting the server in the shower to wash off the virus...

alas, it didnt help the mother board.. or any other electronic part for that matter...
