A Mpumalanga DA youth leader was arrested on Monday morning for allegedly intimidating an ANC member, police said.

Superintendent Sibongile Nkosi said the 26-year-old was arrested after an ANC member laid a charge of intimidation against him, following for an incident in Tweefontein on Saturday.

The DA expressed shock at the news of its member's arrest. According to a party statement, the allegation followed the youth leader's helping to remove a drunk audience member from a public meeting addressed by DA MPL Clive Hatch on Saturday.

"The DA further finds it shocking that although the DA has laid several charges against people in the Thembisele municipality and throughout the province, no arrests have been made as yet," Hatch said in the statement.

Apparently, what is good for the goose isn't good for the gander.

Another instance of the police supporting the ANC's two-faced approach to any given situation.

Yet another example of how government departments are being used for political ends.

*waits for the wolves to smell blood*

this should be interesting...

I bet that the DA youth leader is waiting with baited breath for his day in court.

Last I heard, the DA youth leader had called on a prominent cabinet member in an attempt to incite the cabinet member into badgering him, also, some bizzare faxes were sent to some French company, and tape recorders have been issued with "Only open in 4 years time" written on them.

How the hell do you define and prove intimidation.

I didn't think it was possible but after this I dislike the ANC even a bit more.
