That is sad indeed. He can be glad that tumble at that speed wasn't on gravel/rock...he would have been seriously injured on top of everything else.

My immediate thought was that he was injured by the way he fell on his shoulder, so agreed, fortunate that it wasn't serious in that regard.
 
The surname "Baragwanath" was derived from the Welsh word "Bara", which means bread, and "gwanath" means wheat.
Wondering what culture Brain surname came from. I thought that hospital was named after a person
