Dammit, I'm sick, again...

Because you could easily die from it

inflammation of the meninges of the brain and the spinal cord, most often caused by a bacterial or viral infection and characterized by fever, vomiting, intense headache, and stiff neck.

Also sensitivity too light is another symptom

Sounds like the symptoms of a migraine. Great - now instead of just suffering when I get a migraine, I also have to worry in case I have meningitis

Flu is the "in thing" these days.

^^HavocXphere - I saw a guy in hospital who was there because of a blockage somewhere in those 'tubes' between mouth and ears etc... His whole face was quite swollen :/ did not seem pleasant. Is that what you referring to?

My Pops had the same thing kind of, he got flu, didnt want to go to doc. then a few weeks later his ears became blocked, still no meds, then later he got bad sinus. He then had blocked "tubes" and had to get that operated on, he still has ringing noises in his ear from time to time.

Moral: Dont Fck with flu!!! Get help when u have flu symptoms and when ears start hurting YOU MUST GET HELP!!!

My recommondation is....

don't wash your hands after going to the loo
apply the 3 second rule when food falls to the floor
dont wash your vegetables
lick things to see how they taste like

and for the love of all things holy, EXERSIZE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

Great, my ears (both) feel bocked, my sinuses are messed up. My body is weak ad my muscles are aching, my neck is sore... I'm feeling a lil bit dizzy when i walk, sheesh... what next. But on friday I had the worst head ache for the past 3-4 months, I real killer

shyte, Somethings wrong with this flu I got, I coughed up some phlegm and mucus and there was quite a lot(this came from my sinuses though) and next thing I know, it's got blood in it

my neck it hurting and I can't shake my head coz that hurts as well!
Maybe it's time to see the doctors, 1st time in 4 years

I had meningitis when I was in primary school. I couldn't move my head at all, if I moved it down, my whole spine and everything sent a shot of pain through me. The doctors quickly narrowed it down and I was placed in hospital for a week with various medicine, this was in the mid 90's however.

Scotty, go see a doctor, don't play tough guy, get it sorted.

its from not enough whiskey I tell you!

+1

I haven't been sick in over 10 years. I drink like a sailor, eat a lot of chilli and smoke 20 a day. Not a chance any germs can survive that ****!

Also, I'm used to the cold so it doesn't really affect me, especially in South Africa.

:D

I only know the 5 second rule. I like it better than your rule.:)

Not sure about the swollen face thing but yeah...the tube thing gets blocked and then you end up with a middle ear (not sure about the English name for it) infection...and thats when the docs start talking about grommets & extended hospital time. The swollen face thing sounds more like a hardcore sinus infection/inflammation.

I wouldn't worry about the phlegm...but the blood is a problem. Did your nose bleed within the last 5 days? If not then, yeah...better get to a doc asap.

Be sure to skip anything sugar-related and diary for a while...both mess with sinus & phlegm.

SHYTE! now the nexk pains and muscle aches have gone, but my throat it SO SORE! wtf is happening to me? It seems like every day is filled with new and exciting infections.

Sounds like you're fine. Sore throat is due to post-nasal drip. Should go away in a day or two.
