The girl that got the best matric results quit varsity after 6 months of biotech and ended up doing HR at CPUT.
The 2nd "Smartest" guy that matriculated is now working at a Woolworths store as a Manager.

This is a huge divide as the rest don't have jobs, have children, on drugs, jail, alcoholics, dead, parole, you name it. True Story.


Some of them really put that work in to afford a Golf MK1 (The Coloured Flagship Car).

The golf MK1 is NOT a "coloured" flagship car,

Why does everything turn to race????? Go onto VW forums and see how many different people drive these cars,

And by the way I am a so called "coloured" and guess what.....

I drive a "flagship" 2011 VW GOLF GTI and a "flagship" 1998 VW MK1

So I guess I fit the description hey!!

Way more to life than just money. Also, fewer people get to M.Sc Psych than do to CA.

Yeah, I think fewer people have my combination of skills than are CA's.

Still doesn't mean that my skills set are worth much. But it is more unique than many others.

I didn't say anything about worth. I implied that it was more difficult to get the M.Sc in Psych. Go look at requirements to even get into the programme. It's tough.

Try and tell me about it.

A good friend of mine was a 100%+ average candidate at the end of Matric (I still don't understand how the **** it was possible in 1996). She studied B.Sc. Psychology, Honours Psychology (first in class out of 150 students) but didn't get selected for M.Sc in clinical psychology at our university because she suffers from slight depression.

She then registered for an academic, theoretic M.Sc in Psychology, breezed through it (I read her thesis), and then got admitted at NMMU for their course in Clinical Psychology.

Clinical psychologists (especially at Stellenbosch) seemingly want colleagues and students from Krypton with mutant psychic powers. Anything less is sub-standard.

I had a simiar thing although I went to four high schools. It's odd that at one of those I somhow managed to be a homey and at a few others I was the opposite. High school popularity makes no rational sense and is pretty much at random and it isn't an idicator of future success.

CA's are some of the most boring people I've ever met in my life. How the hell can they that boring I'd never know.
 
My SO is almost done with her MA: Research Psychology at Tuks, they only let 7 people in for her group. For 2015, they only chose 6 people.

The masters degrees in psychology are incredibly difficult to get into.

When I look at some people who are successful online, in music, or in Hollywood... well, that's when my belief that this world is more chaotic than we believe is confirmed. Seriously, how is Pewdiepie the #1 guy on Youtube? Not even he knows how he got there.
 
Through most of my primary and high school career I was what most would term a 'boffin'. Always considered to be most likely to succeed. When I went to varsity, the lack of supervision, led to a drop in marks, and a very casual approach to academics.. although I was still able to get my degree. Then I put 10 years of my life into a business that eventually failed. I am now 36 and while I do have a great job, I have let most other aspects of my life suffer in the pursuit of business success, and the subsequent knock to my self confidence when it all crumbled around me. It's still something that I struggle with... and a very large part of why I'm still alone :/
 
I'm also 36 and single.

But the reason that I am alone is because I can't dance. :p

Women are hardwired to dance.
