been thinking of this kukky game, since i started playing about 2 years ago it has cost me:

Wow + TBC = R 600
24months Subs = R 2,880
More memory = R 500
1st Graphics card = R 1,200 (7600gt)
1st LCD = R 1,500 (17" pos)
2nd graphics card (7900 gtx)= R 2,500
2nd LCD = R 2,000 (19" Widescreen :))

Getting woman to play (OMG WHY)
1 new pc = R 3,000
Wow + TBC = R 600
4 months Subs = R 480

= R 15,260

WTF Blizz worse than dope dealers LOL

Saving money on clothing shopping (for the woman) ...

PRICELESS!!!! :D

On the flip side, I havent bought a new game since bioshock, where I'd spend R500+ on a ps/2 game or R300+ on a pc game every 2 weeks or so, I've now bought about 4 games (Overlord, Bioshock, COD4 and GH3) over the past entire year.

So where my budget on single player games was around R7200 per annum, now it's about R1200. Factor in monthly subs of 150 bucks to WoW = R1800, and alltogether I've spent about R3000 this year on gaming. That's a saving of about R4200. Thanks you Blizzard.

No, i dont factor internet costs into the equations since i had internet before i played WoW and I'll have it after I quit. Neither do I factor the price of pc upgrades since I would have had to spend that money to play other games, in fact WoW's probably saved me money on that front as well since I don't need a quad core dual-sli to be able to play it at decent settings.

True, and prob the only game you can play on a R 3k machine ;)

True but you have to have a decent graphics card. I played it on a old pc with a 6200LE card and got 7-14fps on low settings.

Nothing better than setting wow to maximum settings and getting around 100fps

You kinda have to have a decent graphics card regardless. If you have a PC and play anything more advanced than Minesweeper on it anyway.

WOW does save u cash but kills ur social life.. im not bothered about my social life anyways :P Think of the petrol price now.. its damn high so playin wow saves u money there to :D :D so instead of spending R1000 a month on petrol u will be saving what eva money u did use for petrol. Petrol is goin to sky rocket and we are not goin to be able to afford it :(.. thats y i love WOW so much.. save save save :D :D

I do it to cut back on my social life. If had to compare my beer costs to my WoW costs I would still be thanking Blizz for saving my bank account.
