i loaded the second data bundle on my mtn prepaid card and afterward never could dial 555 or 141 ever again, customer service said it was because i had to wait for first bundle to expire, even if it was long depleted already (10mb) first time:)! 1st one depleted but problem still exists! no service or response from mtn, go figure!

warning, dont block your ivr by loading two data bundles, not even mtn can save you from this one!

anyone know of another way to load data bundles?:confused:

usually i buy 2GB and its finished in 20 days and now to avoide this problwm every time before buy the data bundle i use new sim card

@retrovader : I don't understand.

Are you saying that when you load up a second MTN data bundle on the same sim card before the previous data bundle expires that the sim card fails on the MTN network, unable to even dial 141 or 555?

strange... they've been punting that u can "load as many data bundles as you like"... heard the radio ad yesterday again.
unless there is some small print terms & conditions again?

Thats strange , as I bought a new sim card on the 6th April , loaded 350megs and then 4 days later loaded another 500megs , that was after only using about 30megs and I can still check my balance .
I load data using the MDMA dashboard .

mtn can load 2 different airtime balances(been like this for years). I remember if u purchased 12 rand airtime(it expires after 30 days). If u purchased 30 rand airtime it expired after 60-90 days(cant remember).

But when you checked your balance it would read: 72 rand airtime (12 rand airtime expiring on (2009.01.01))

So they could've implemented data bundle rollover long time ago.. or atleast multiple data bundle addons

Bingo, exactly what i mean, and after it expires, u still have the problem!

Thats exactly what my problem is, false advertising ruined my sim card, maybe permanently!:( to be honest, i was stupid enough to try it on 2 separate sim cards, blocked both ivr's! dont try it, load 1 bundle, wait for 60 days(if u finish it before, tough luck) then load another!:rolleyes:

hey buddy! we are talking about a cellphone, prepaid, not modem, mdma dashboard is a bit different from dialing 141!:o

I've just now loaded a 2GB bundle after finishing a 1GB bundle in 9 days and had no problem...555 works after loading it anyway...maybe a once off thing or happens if u load with data still unused Retro.

phoning mtn again, will report back!

same answer, the situation will be escalated on both sim card numbers to try fix the problem, 17 days, maybe its still too soon! ok guyz, ill pe patient! i'll report back
