Data recovery from 3-disk spanned set

If it's spanned you'll obviously need all disks in the set to function in order to access the set. How many drives have failed, just one? What are its symptoms?
 
raid 5 stripe set should be recoverable with one failed drive as the parity would be written to the other two... if it is a raid 5 stripe set. If not mmmm....I dont think there is hope, but I wish you well, I hope you have success
 
What happened - was copying data and the drive was getting about 80% full

then nothing

then device manager showed that disks 2 and 3 failed.

A cold boot later and these are working again.

this tells me that the drives need replacement stat.

Not gonna use a spanned volume, but rather a RAID5/RAID6/RAID50 set...

Learnt my lesson.
