Data usage count on Vodacom Website

After querying the reason for an enormous OOB bill I was first told that the usage stats on their website only gets updated once every 24 hours. Then later someone at the advanced data solutions dept. claimed it's every 3 hours. I'm not sure which is true.

I think neither is true.
Mine has been on the same amount for days now.

I think that Vodacom are having some data issues. Mine says no data available and I bought 500mb 3 days ago.
If they can just tell us they are having issues without making us wait and experiencing bad/no connections at the moment.

The data usage count on my profile on www.vodacom.co.za is not updating.
Anybody else experiencing the same?

Hi Xlungu

If the information is not updating on your profile , then we would need to escalate it , you can kindly pm me your number if you are still experiencing this problem.

I have the same issue, receive a message "No bundle information available" but I did buy a bundle.

If a bundle runs out, Vodacom should at least allow you to www.vodacom.co.za to buy another bundle :/

I think I hit my cap and I'm screwed, unless I go to the shops

That's weird. Most companies allow you to browse their sites for free (after capped). That company with the name "after 7 and before 9"ta, is the best with this.

I'm also getting the "No bundle information available" when clicking on the "Data Balances" link on the left menu, BUT

when i open the dropdown "quick menu" in the top right (next to "Sign out") i get a balance i.e. "Data remaining: 790.39 MB" .

So something not working on the website. This issue has been there for a week or two now.

Same thing here. My DSL is down & I knew I had some data left, but had no idea how much. I ended up using R70 OOB before noticing the bundle was up, now I've bought another 500MB, its been deducted from my balance but still shows "No bundle information available". We're used to uncapped DSL so am going to have to monitor this somehow very carefully

I've got that other company too ... And yea, I like the way they give you options when you run out

I'd also much prefer something like this instead of just being billed into oblivion. I accidentally went about 3.3 GB out-of-bundle from March 1 00:00:28 AM to March 1 08:44:04 AM and now have a balance of R8,280 that's due end of April. The only SMS I received to warn me about this was sent on March 5, 2012 and by then it was of course already too late.

But yes, it's the customer's responsibility to control their data usage..

It is Vodacom's responsibility to see to it that they put up a fully functional web site for public access, and the client always get screwed without the benefit of vaseline, they are that cheap ... , regardless of their ability to display your data usage on your profile.

Which makes one "wonder" a bit whether they really can accurately track your usage or are they just guessing ...

I am another that gets "No bundle information available", which is wonderfully informative, when trying to find out how much data I have used or have left.

When I plug my modem into my laptop, the data connection comes up, and when I pull the stick out, it very obviously "dies"

No dashboards, or other tools to hopefully give some indication of accurate data usage ...
