#DataMustFall campaign against mobile data rip-off

If you're speaking of the i5 promo, that's a special that's no longer available so you can't really consider it the norm. Especially since it went up to 299 for most people.

Well Telkom be having specials each month, this months its 15GB daytime for R299pm.

Its trending on Twitter but probably a new form of advertising by some network

We asked already, and they denied any involvement in the campaign.

Thanks.

But I can't help feeling an ad is coming...TouchCentral demanded lower data prices, and we listened. Kinda like the Trevor Noah thing. And then Touchcentral moves/supports to the lower data prices while thanking Cellc. Touchcentral is an online station and one needs bigger data caps for that, the exact data products with lower costs that Cellc is planned.

EDIT: just saw the Afrihost update, another possibility

If this is true then they're just setting themselves up for disappointing consumers. Their idea of lower data prices and our idea of lower data are not even from the same planet.

R299 for 10+10 is still not expensive.

Been thinking what to do with OOBshark.co.za and dammit this would have been perfect! So kudo's to this guy.

I'm not so sure of that. I was in the UK recently and 3G data seemed way more expensive there than it does here.
U mean the same UK where Vodafone originates from? Not surprised about that
