DCS World. A serious combat flight sim

Nice, midnite! Me likey! One thing - check on the tail of your aerie. You have two sets of numbers overlapping there. Check this portion of your 'description.lua' file:
{"A-10_Number_Noze_F", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",true};
{"A-10_Number_Noze_T", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",true};
{"A-10_Number_Wheel", 0 ,"empty",true};

If these are set to true then the sim assigns dynamic flight numbers to the a/c and so you should hide the numbers on the skin file or they will double up on top of one another. If you were skinning a particular a/c from the A-10 fleet with a given flight number, then you could set these values to false and skin them in on the DDS.

My old school SAAF mirage-era one is coming along quite nicely. If you okes have any specialised personal logo graphics like midnite's then get 'em ready. Alternatively there is the military stencil with your name.

The key is valid for DCS World. Buy on Steam (no need to install) and download DCS World and A-10C module, then activate using Steam key. You can get the CD Key by right clicking on the game and select "View CD-Key", failing that:

The 3rd option is to go to look for the 'View' tab at the top left of your Steam library menu. Click 'View', then 'Games Details'. Now you can click on your game in the regular library and it should show game info in the right half of the Steam application. Under the section "Links" at the far right edge there will be a link for "Cd Key"

It sounds like we have quite the DCS community here on MyBB :) I've had A-10 for ages, but I've only actually started getting into it recently, & have so much to learn still. I'm thoroughly enjoying it though, & I'd love to join you guys sometime if you have space for one more, & don't mind having an amateur along.

What simulation level of fidelity will the new models include though?

Having BF3 type 0 level machines buzzing around against high fidelity models like the A10's worries me quite a bit in a multiplayer environment.

Speaking for myself here but also a bit of severe rustiness. Didn't really know my flightstick from my boomstick on this one. Getting back into it though.

Also, apparently the latest TARS is compatible so we'll be using that again for maxi-immersiveness.
 
How is the stability in MP now? The last time we tried connecting 6 people, it all ended in frustration.

Heh you should hear me trying to get to grips with the Ka-50, especially the other evening. Every time I try to fly it, I swear that bitch is trying damned hard to kill me - and frequently succeeding - and the other guys in the FSF TS channel, mostly from the EU, have learned a bunch of Afrikaans expletives.
