Does anyone know which ADSL routers can be upgraded to DD-WRT?

Has anyone managed to upgrade a Billion 800VGT or a Billion 7404V to DD-WRT?

Thanks.

I'd like to that the two people who contributed links that I've already visited.

If anyone's managed to actually load DD-WRT onto a Billion 800VGT or a Billion 7404V, please be in touch.

DD-WRT doesn't really support ADSL modem chipsets. You might be able to install it on the modem, but then you might actually lose the modem functionality.

Dankie Pada, that is more or less the same conclusion that I came to, which is why I asked.

Hi there,
Looks like your router is not supported.
Of interest though is this link
Which indicates that support for ADSL is out in Beta for some routers and in time it may support yours.

Good Luck

Tim

I got a call from Miro. They have four different models, preloaded with DD-WRT. Prices vary from around R500 over over R1K.

Sorry to go off topic but what is this DD-WRT you speak of :P

DD-WRT is a Linux based alternative OpenSource firmware suitable for a great variety of WLAN routers and embedded systems. The main emphasis lies on providing the easiest possible handling while at the same time supporting a great number of functionalities within the framework of the respective hardware platform used.
