That's shocking.
We had a client with a R17K notebook. Had 2 bad pixels and supplier wouldn't take it back.

Yeah - 1 dead pixel is not considered faulty.
This is a problem with LCD panels......I know this would piss me off.
Go back on a busy morning (saturday) and cause a scene ... maybe you lucky and they will replace.
Ok cool took it back they said that Samsung have certain requirements for dead pixels. if they are in not a conspicuous place then they allow up to 7. But... if they are in the middle of the screen (like my brothers) they will swap it out...
Now the new one also has a dead pixel but it's hardly noticeable right at the bottom of the screen.
Smells fishy! I would email Samsung and check with them as to what their requirements are, because I have returned two 22" Samsungs with one dead pixel to my supplier.
Unless Zones' relationship with Samsung is different...
They gave us a little sheet with Samsung's requirements etc.
For smaller LCD's the dead pixel requirements are much less than the bigger ones.
Oooh sorry it was LG. My mistake.

Samsung? Should be covered. You will probably have to take it back within ±14 days of purchase.
Samsung will only replace under warantee if there are 10 or more dead pixels, know somebody with the same problem, and she just bought a new 2232GW samsung.
If its got a dead pixel out of the box I'd get the seller to take it back...under duress if necessary.![]()
Yeah I was very confused
BTW, LG = Lousy Goods - In future steer clear imo

I went to the LG website, called the customer support number, spoke to a chap by the name of Freeman. He advised me to return it to the place of purchase, and get the retailer to contact him personally.
Screen was swapped out there and then. Good luck!
Nice, my pixel is also in the centre of the screen.

Surely though, you should check the screens before you ship them out, as both of them had dead pixels right out of this box, and to me this seems unacceptable.
