Does anyone know what could be causing this issue:

Main PVR Decoder - Downstairs
Extraview Decoder - Outbuilding

Everything has been working fine for years, all of a sudden now if anyone changes the channel it changes on both decoders

Solutions will be appreciated

Thx

Almost certainly related to which remote mode was chosen for each decoder - I would have thought one decoder somehow reset but that's unlikely given that the remote for it still works. Perhaps someone fiddled, or felt forced to if it did reset.

Way to fix should be to check the remote mode in use in the two decoders' menus and make sure they're different, then adjust the other remote itself to that altered mode.

For example - on my Explora;
Settings \ System Settings \ Remote Control - Mode 2 set to "Respond - Active", the other two set to "Ignore"

If your menu allows for more than one mode, rather only choose one.
Can be difficult to get this done and continue to have access, but you'll get there.

Had another IP addy go dead on me this morning after a few uses with something else on their site. I would guess they're having a bot problem 🤷‍♂️

You mean Canal+ is shutting down Showmax :) Since it runs at a huge loss, there's no business reason for it to continue... period
if it is not replaced with something else, they might lose some premium customers that had showmax included in their package for free

This morning both my DSTV decoders (Explora Ultra and Explora 3) are showing a red light without any signal sent to the TV. A restart sees them boot but I don't see any channel scanning, and then it ends on the same red light and no input to TV.

Strange that it's both of them at the same time. Dead smart LNB (4 years old) or something? Can't imagine a firmware update overnight bricked them both surely...

Edit : Simple fix two posts below lol

Eish!!!

Lol, funnily enough it's a simple fix from a dumb update. They updated in the middle of the night but for the first time ever the update switched both decoders to standby afterwards. Even restarting them at the wall, they went to standby mode afterwards.

Switched them both on via the remote and it works. I never put my decoders to standby mode which is why it caught me by surprise.

hahaha, when in doubt, switch the device ON
