This is not a rant but just something that I need to say.
Ive always supported you guys ( And will still do so under the right circumstances) and I've always received good friendly service.

The last week or so I've had a number of issues though.

1. I was looking for an emergency PSU 2 days ago. Found one on your site and saw the shipping would cost me R259. No other options?
Went on Wootware's site and found one. Shipping all the way from the Western Cape to NW was R64!!! Why should I pay an extra R200? This is the same shipping choices you've had for atleast two years and nothing new or cheaper has come along?

2. Why haven't you made the choice to get a Capitec bank account? I made the payment late at night and I was stunned to see the progress that was made the following morning. By 9AM Wootware had sent out the PSU for shipping. All because they had a Capitec account which obviously meant the money cleared immediately.

3. A client of mine also urgently needed a office PC today. I advised them on your entry level AMD rig. Called Evetech to check for stock and so on. The next part I could not believe. It would take them 2-3 days to build this PC without OS!!! This shouldn't take an expert more than an hour?! I was told I would hopefully receive the PC by next week Thursday! Unacceptable!

It just kind of breaks my brain with serious competition coming in, that basic stuff like this has not been worked on or changed.
Like I said I've never had a problem before but when other retailers tries and goes one step further Ill rather go with them.

Point 1. Sure. The shipping is redicolous.

Point 2. No they don't need another account. You can use instant pay or credit card. Why must a company have 50 bank account. That's just stupid.

Point 3. They are probably waiting for supplies and you are not the only customer.

From my experience in the last two years: Wootware > Evetech - by far! I will only use Evetech in the event of a huge sale/special.

Their customer service is just terrible. Wootware on the other hand. Some of the best service I've experience in South Africa, to date.

Point 2. No not 50 bank accounts but 5 . Nedbank, Std Bank, Absa, FNB and Capitec. The 5 biggest banks (Capitec being the biggest one in SA btw)

Point 3. All of the items were in stock. The salesman asked if they could ship the parts so I could build it myself. I understand they've got other clients but I'm sorry, in no way should it take them more than a day to build this.

Look I'm not defending Evetech here, their service history is spotty at best.

BUT

Capitec only started offering business accounts like 2 months ago. Business banking is not cheap and separate accounts adds a whole lot more than "just open another account".

I was thinking the same thing regarding business accounts and how that may be problem. Like I said in my original post, its about a company taking the extra step to help the customer. Wootware has a Capitec and Evetech doesnt.

You are not the only customer they are serving, and pay by credit card next time or use instant clearance.

Evetech are expensive and slow to ship. Only ever buy from them when u collect.

Wootware, the best by a LONG way.

Rubbish. Use instant pay with bank,SSID or credit card. There is absolutely no need to have 5 bank accounts.

Tbh it's pretty irresponsible to recommend Evetech to anyone. I can't hate on someone who is determined to use them personally, but no one should spread the word of a company with infamously poor customer support and after-sales service.

It's not reasonable to expect businesses to have Capitec accounts. If you want payment to clear immediately, then use an online store and payment method that supports instant payment. It might interest you to know that (from my rather comprehensive experience) 99.9% of online payment issues relate to Capitec payments. So if you're going to strongly value considerateness, change bank. I had one Absa issue a month or so ago, and every other payment issue has been Capitec. At this point, I despise the bank.

Shipping is often costly to online stores. It's possible Evetech are passing on the actual courier quote to you rather than making a loss like most stores do. My store is soon going to force regional postal codes to use Pargo click-and-collect to mitigate the losses from conventional courier deliveries. Sometimes a single delivery is R400-900.

Let me try this again...I haven't got any issues with Evetech...okey?
I merely stated a few positives things from another company which made the entire buying experience a lot easier and more convenient. Ive had only good experiences with Evetech and I WANT to keep on supporting them.
They can do whatever they want with this advise
