Dear White People

Makes me sick that they keep voting the ANC over and over and over again  I might be more at ease if they stopped showing support for running the country down. It would at least be a major step towards solving most of our problems. I don't care even if the next party is majority black or white, just stop with the ANC already it is ridiculous. But alas I have no faith in them, it is long gone.

I have just seen that the blog article is written by Gillian Schutte. I’m for one person do not like any of her work and I know a serious amount of independent writers and filmmakers out here in South Africa. Just looking at her blog article entries in thoughtleader.co.za (http://www.thoughtleader.co.za/author/gillianschutte/) makes me wonder what her aim or objective is? Her personal blog also carries the same subjects…

I still say that one of the biggest problems according to racisms, which in my opinions are used for pushing agendas today, is that all people from different ethnic groups stopped greeting each other regularly. A clear dislike feeling usually hangs in atmospheres where different ethnic groups are together. The world is only getting bigger… more people, more influences, more k@k.

I am not a racist, but I really cannot stand certain people no matter what their colour.

Yip I do, treat me like an human being and I will do the same to you. Keep shoving this rubbish down my throat and I will get my back up.
Its nearly what 20yrs? Time to start blaming yourselves and the fact that you keep voting in the ANC ;)

Sure the blame game is overplayed but some of it has merit still there are still lots of people resisting change. And as for them voting the ANC, it's probably more to do with that the party built them homes, gave access to running water and electricity among other services. All you have to do is look around and see the large number of houses and electrification to understand.

Agreed. They're scared we'll go back to Apartheid

To a certain degree, but many communities STILL don't have these services. In many places the existing services are going down

Sure, but how many problems are associated with these developments? Corruption, bad quality buildings, etc.??
Tender fraud is as common as blackberries.

:) funny guys.

Let me put it another way...

Why after 20 years is there still this kind of discussion going on in SA society.

Oddly enough, I don't recall the black/white vitriol anywhere near this extent in our first 10 years of 'democracy'.

Two possibilities -

During the first 10 years it was a 'let's give it a chance' attitude.

During the second twenty years - and forgive me if this is not PC...

the whites got gatvol of the decay and wastage ( theft ) and the blacks got gatvol that nothing much had changed for them.

And as the government makes whites ( born-frees or otherwise ) responsible for the status-quo we are back where we were 20 years ago.

So, will some real leaders please stand the fsk up and get us off this merry-go-round.

Currently the “merry-go-around” is spewing money. I do not think that the circus will stop this machine…

Much what you said is true in the public eye, unfortunately we do not know what is happening behind the curtains and we will never know.

There is no current Democracy Forum, where members can be opinionated. In fact, there is no Democracy, we as residents may only vote.

What happened to South Africa’s superb railway in regards to distribution outlets? The rest of the economy? The greatest issue today is wages and property claim disputes amongst the majority… I have my personal issues with these two matters. Wage increases for farmworkers, definitely have my yes, not the rest since I know the Netto (including bonuses) annual earning for most these striking industries.

We have a Cabinet of thieves; even the media clearly establish this in numerous articles. The president gets away with everything; does the law not uphold justice for the ruling party? Why do the ANC members support corruption if it is done insight of the residents of this country? In what power may you sway, bribe and corrupt the law? This in my opinion is accountable for every living person in this country.

I want to see statements from our Government, where my and everyone’s hard worked income is going to in the form of TAX. I want to see timeframes in which objectives will proceed. Most importantly I want to see who pockets from my input in this country.

I support the DA, but I do not necessarily support all their ideas and goals, but it is my only option.

As previously said in another thread, this land of ours, the clockwork stopped.

:)

I completely agree.

How do you know R13 voted ANC? or does being a certain race mean they vote certain parties in? Your logic = 1 race ENTIRELY votes DA, 1 race ENTIRELY votes ANC? :/

This thread irritates the crap out of me. I have to literally meditate to calm down, not because of any specific responses but the clear ignorance and plight of anyone. Whatever this lady wrote is her opinion, if you do not agree with it it's fine, if you agree with it, fine again. All I'm going to say, and certainly won't respond to, is due to the sheer ignorance of many in this thread I will ask...

1. How many of you have ever REALLY understood what actually happened in South Africa? Not read it in some book, actually grasp what happened?

2. How many of you understand the concept of cultural assimilation and how it was applied to South Africa?

3. How many of you have ever sympathized with anyone in South Africa's lower class, be it a poor coloured/black/indian/white person, or matters outside your boom gate don't concern you? Hiring a maid doesn't count as sympathizing, you needed a service, they provided you with one!

4.How many of you have even visited ANY South African historical monuments (on your own accord and free will, not a mandatory bloody school trip)? From this number how many have visited any Apartheid museum, or any monument that aims to make people aware of the realities of Apartheid?

If you can't answer any of the question above with honesty, or self awareness, you should honestly shut up and comment on something more constructive to your life.

These questions I pose to ALL races on MyBB, I honestly don't give a crap if you black, white, red or purple. I don't pose any of my questions to make anyone feel guilty. 20 Years, ANC or not I don't wanna know, just answer the above questions either publicly or to yourself, do with the answers as you please and stop being ignorant to the reality of why South Africa is where it is and complaining about black people attacking you, or white people oppressing you.
