Debit Order RD SMS Incorrectly Sent

Got mine at 01:32 am. I couldn't sleep of course after that and so was awake until my alarm rang at 5.am. I hope they won't send me the apology at a similar time.
 
This place is turning into Hellopeter.... whatever happened to needing assistance with data related queries? Now we are wanting to take to court because the spelling is wrong...

Got mine from an 083 number, but as I don't understand (i.e. refuse to communicate by sms-speak) what they want, I will ignore.

So no one has any official MTN word on this?

il check with the billing department for you, please pm me your number. However, generally when you get an sms to say your debit order has returned its one that has been generated by the automated collection plan and is factual.

Il also confer with them as to the spelling, its unprofessional to issue a notification without the proper grammar.
 
Well ok, i just managed to get a reply... the sms was indeed incorrect! According to the manager there an apology sms will be generated to all affected by today. Im trying to dig a bit deeper though, i would like to find out who typed the sms....
 
I got one this morning and friend got one last night.

EDIT: Friend received an sms to apologise and ignore previous sms.

Got the same msg at 23:00 - called them this morning....ERROR on their side....-also asked them about my service request I logged,middle of April...I am still in their 26 day turn around.....YAHOO!!
 
My brother showed me an SMS that allegedly came from MTN today. I say allegedly because I would LIKE to believe that a company like MTN would not stoop to SMS speak to a client:

Dear Client this serves to inform u that your debit ord RD remit pmt to avoid susp Mtnsp

The message came from +2783142132438 so I am wondering if it's legitimate. Also, it's weird seeing how MTN was able to successfully debit from the credit card.

Anyone have experience with this message?

Jip got mine 11pm last night.

Got the same, different number though. And that after all my accounts are 100% paid, although I highly suspect they are ripping me off....I am going back to Vodascum after this contract is done.

I will move to the cheapest pay as you go. No more billing fsck ups from MTN. At the moment land lines can not get through to my phone. This problem was fixed about 4 months ago after I complained for about a month..... No it is just happening again.

I just hope they dont start smsing people in the middle of the night is all....
