So I recently bought myself one of these: Thermaltake ESports Challenger Ultimate Keyboardhdmi

I started up Battlefield 3, jumped in a jet and took off, but this is where the fun begins! I use the WASD and the arrow keys on the keyboard to fly but when I tried to make a turn using S, down arrow and left or right arrow the keyboard doesn't respond, it doesn't acknowledge that I am pressing left and right arrow on the keyboard.

This keyboard has so many features but a simple thing like this it fails to deliver on. I have a old Logitech G11 keyboard and it handles this no problem.

So the question is, is there a decent keyboard out there that can do this for me?

It must have the following features:

Media Keys
Backlighting
Full Anti-Ghosting

Hopefully Wootware will take the keyboard back. :(

As a experiment... did the keyboard come with a PS2 connector or might you have a PS2 converter to try it.
This is if you have such a slot on the motherboard.

No it only have a USB cable that uses two slots, guess one for power.

Next time stick to Logitech or Razer.

None of them have anti-ghosting either other than the mechanical keyboards which I'm not keen to get.

Cyborg V.7 ftw

Only have minimal anti-ghosting.

Is there anyone who can offer any decent input?

Get the Razer Blackwidow :)
They actually recommend that you use a PS2 to USB converter, as it squishes the ghosting problem completely.

But I don't want to :( I hear it makes too much noise and also they keys are blue switches which are for typing not gaming.

The keyboard only has USB, so does my G11, I just can't figure out why it doesn't have such a basic feature that I thought all gaming keyboards should have nowadays.

You get used to the noise, it actually sounds awesome.
Typing? Pfft. It is an amazing gaming keyboard.

Brown/red/black switches > blue switches (for gaming, noise level, and more)

Steelseries 6Gv2/7G / Thermaltake Meka G1 (black) > Razer BlackWidow (blue).

(Stay away from Razer btw, "cool" products "for gamers" but they just break too quickly.)

Thanks will look again at SteelSeries, it's a pitty those keyboards aren't backlit, guess I will just have to adapt.

Do you guys think Wootware will take the keyboard back from me? I only used it for about 30mins before I discovered that it doesn't have anti-ghosting, also I see they don't have Steelseries keyboards on their site :(

Update: I've decided to go with the Steelseries 7G, looks like an awesome keyboard.

Update: Doesn't seem like anyone sells Steelseries :(

Contact the agents Foxcomp and they will refer you to an agent who has stock.

Get a Microsoft X4, I've had mine for years and it has never ghosted... it can handle 26 key presses, so even if you used all your fingers and toes you still wouldn't ghost...

Cheapish as well.

Any updates, NomNom?

I'm waiting for Wootware to email me back, going back to bed now as I can't keep my eyes open.

Update: Haven't heard from Wootware, starting to worry as their policy is for 7 days only, will wait until tomorrow afternoon before I try to contact them again.

Ended up getting the Steelseries 7G (Black switches) which I am very happy with, I will stress that this keyboard is best suited for FPS games, so if you are looking for a keyboard to type on I recommend you look and a keyboard that has either Blue or Brown switches.

I make mistakes now and then while typing due to the kind of switches this keyboard has.

As far as I know any keyboard that is mechanical should have anti-ghosting but don't quote me on this.

The Logitech G keyboards also apparently have anti-ghosting.

My Steelseries Merc Stealth is the worst keyboard I have ever owned.
Terrible to type on and the buttons are all sticking or offering various degrees of resistance.

I still think Logitech makes the best all round keyboard for gaming and typing comfort.
