Decent game to buy?

Oblivion was more about graphics than game play, The Witcher is actually enjoyable to play. Oblivion i have managed a grand total of maybe 1 hours game play whereas Wither has had many many days :)
 
oblivion was a decent game the witcher game play is alot longer yes, this is becoz most of the game u spend running from 1 side of the map to the other. u have to research evry thing u do its really just world of warcraft but single player and wow is alot more fun

apart from the obvious molestation of the english language, i mostly agree with what Splendid was able to type there for us.
 
Witcher is a true rpg like the baldur's gate games and planescape torment games. Your actions actually have an influence on the game.

Oblivion is a good game if you like exploring huge maps. And like the fact that none of your actions have any influence on how the ending will turn out . Heck you can even be in charge of all the different factions.

Witcher is the game if you like an in depth game while oblivion is the one if your just interested in killing some monsters and exploring a huge area.

Witcher is easily the better game imho.

I was very disappointed by Doom 3 at first, it could have been so good, but after getting over it not being the game I was hoping for I do enjoy it now.

Crysis doesn't come close to Deus Ex or System Shock. Infact I played System Shock 2 more recently than Crysis and enjoyed it more. In case you don't know there's some nice mods for System Shock 2 that enhance the graphics and models, great if you're a fan of it thinking of playing it again.

Hi, I agree with your opinion that Deus Ex is superior. It feels like you are inside a film, an expensive hollywood blockbuster :) replay value is immense.

To be honest, you wil have to play it like 3 times to get the idea behind the story isn't it?


I don't know of any good games to buy out there but I have been playing a few good mods - that will really kick the ass of many commercial fps's mentioned above.

Best to go retro imo, How about anarchronox
