Didn't know where to post this as I couldn't find a forum for hosting here on MyBB. If this is in the wrong spot and I have missed the hosting forum then please could a mod move this thread.
I have been hosting with Axxess for a while now and I am really looking to move now and would like some input from you guys on where I should look. I am not really concerned whether it is local or foreign. I will go for the best deal and value.
Currently I am spending about R15 a month for 25MB of space and it really isn't enough. I am happy to spend more, probably around double that.
Anyway I'm looking for a hosting service. Nothing serious, would probably need the following:
- Maximum 100MB of space assuming no one around here checks their mail for a week. Even 50MB would be fine actually.
- traffic allowance of 1GB and up would be preferable, the higher for the money the better.
- 5 mail addresses at least.
- some sort of virus and spam filter would be nice
- ftp would be desirable as well
- support for things like php, cg-bin maybe mysql etc. would be nice for the future, but I don't really require it ATM
- linux definitely preferable to windows
