Dell BIOS update bricked my laptop. HELP PLEASE?

You don't need rufus, you just need a working W10 machine.
If it was still the original device: Start > Create recovery drive.
But since it's for a different machine, you probably want to do it via the installation media tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

I thought he wanted to make a live 10..lol
 
Its you drive at fault now or the boot sector or settings in your bios,check everything again.Also for laymans pop in a bootable usb with any live OS and boot it up.
 
Hi guys thanks for all the help. I tried to repair with the Win 10 ISO on USB and by installing the newest BIOS update from Dell by USB. Both of those did not work. Win 10 says it cannot fix and the BIOS update was successful but did not change anything. I also created a new boot method with the Win 10 ISO as the bootx64 file was available in the EFI folder. I did this in the UEFI but no success. Beginning to think of 'losing' the laptop but will try the CMOS reset over the weekend still and maybe a clean install of win 10 on the old hard drive to see if the SSD isn't chops afterall...
 
Kyhi BootPE, apply it to a USB and boot off it. Use rufus to apply iso to usb.

In Kyhi use Lazesoft Recovery suite -> Windows Recovery and boot option. Repair all options related to boot.
 
Maybe try install windows 10 to a spare laptop hardrive, see if it boot from that , if it works and cant repair boot can then backup and reformat/ install
 
Like I said try the easy , make a live os usb boot.boot usb and load the live os , use it for so 3 minutes then go out, fist see if this is possible.also you never gave the model of laptop
 
You should be able to install an older version of the BIOS. I saw the option in the BIOS of one of my Dell's yesteday.
 
Ok, after a week I fired up this WIN 10 Dell again, no problem.

Then I run Updates........
1-The usual security & .net etc.
2-A long 19009 update=KB4562900
3-Plus an SCSI update.
My problem started after I went to 1909, not directoly after, but the next long update some time afterwards-weeks.

Ok, so updates all finish downloading, some pending install, and reboot.

I reboot.....
1-On reboot, no bootable device, blue screen.
2-Try again, same thing, blue screen. No bootable device.
3-Try again, same thing, blue screen. No bootable device.
4-This time I press F2 go into BIOS, see nothing strange.
5-I exit BIOS.
6-It reboots and the following....
-Preparing Automatic Repair....Wait..
-Diagnosing your PC..Wait...
-Get updates it says....This then completes.
-It reboots, and load fully, no problems.
-I reboot 5 times, no problems.
7-I did an Update troubleshoot, it found problems and fixed them.

The PC further operates normally, no hint of a problem.
>>Update history of today confirm all these updates installed successfully.

I refuse to think my SSD drive is faulty, I would rather think it is a malfunction from Microsoft on how they apply changes on shutdown, & changes on the reboot thereafter like before these went well always, till after 1909.

Now I have a block of 180 days on major updates still active, I dont know if this choice mess with the 1909 feature updates...?

Mine was not from a Microsoft update. PC was fully up to date though running win 10 2004. Dell BIOS update caused this sh*t. I am going to try a few things this weekend still but after the weekend I am tossing it in the sea
 
Make a bootable usb and download an older bios, install. If that doesn't work, download one older than that and try again. Sometimes installing the latest bios, without installing the bios in between, also messes things up.

Will try this, the Kyhi bootable USB and the CMOS reset over the weekend. Don't think I will have time tomorrow at work to install a live os on usb or external hd. Will maybe try that next week if I haven't gotten fed up by then. Thanks for all the help everyone I appreciate!

I think it is your EFI bootloader causing the problem. I see you mentioned to create a new boot method. Did you try to create the new bootloader with diskpart? I previously had a problem with the EFI when using Acronis but I can't remember what I did.
