Dell u2412m vs LG ips236v - Which one?

Price difference is about 1k, I'm not a graphic designer or require absolute colour accuracy for photography or print but I do prefer an IPS panel over the TN panels for the better colour reproduction.

So which one, or should I stick with a samsung TN panel?

The Dell without a doubt. 16:10 resolution/aspect ratio and ergonomic stand (with USB ports).
 
I have 2x u2412m at home and that LG at work.

Both have great PQ but other than that the Dells are a country mile better in every other aspect.
 
Dell. Don't even dwell on it if you have the money, the Dell is better by far.
 
My opinion? Dell is quality... LG is finicky. Years from now you still be able to tell the difference :)
 
The only thing that seems counter intuitive for getting a dell is that the dell IPS panel is manufactured by LG...

Like I said both have great PQ but the Dell has:
-Much better stand (height adjust, tilt, rotate)
-USB Hub
-1920x1200 resolution
-A 3 year warranty that is far superior than any other. One of my u2412m's had a fault, they came the next day with a brand new one without even testing the old one.
 
Legendary Dell Support :) That's a big plus and part of my emphasis on quality too!
