Quite right. I bought the game because it got 10/10 on quite a few sites and after playing Demon's Souls, was very disappointed. I will probably sell before I finish it.I still don't get why so many people loved Oblivion. Combat was sloppy to say the least. It was generic, dull and personally felt like a step back wrt gameplay mechanics. Level up and the world levels up with you.

I used Fire magic on it and it died so quickly. Next boss is not hard either. The stage is harder. Make sure you take lots of poison healing items before you start.
Can't recall any black phantom though unless your world tendency is pure black. From the start, you there is a path to drop down without losing health. You will fight 2 of those monsters before you get to the bottom. Just need to follow the islands of land until you get to the wooden structure. Just becareful of those giants with clubs.
See if you can get soul arrow but you will need a catalyst (wand) to use it. I stand way back and shoot him with it. Just have to block the flames with the purple shield.
Thats were it is challenging because you need to get out of that mud before you can actually be maneuverable. Do you have total protection spell? This is really an awesome spell. Get it!Aah, i was trying to avoid those giants, took a left turn from there and then there's a BP with a mother of a weapon.
I'll just avoid that route then.
What's a good technique for those giants? One club smash annhilates me.
Yes, the items you picked up from 1-1 where the red dragon roosted. You cannot kille the red dragon without some type of range attack. Crossbow works fine if you can buy bolts. 150 of them to be precise. You will need to do the first run accross the bridge in 1-2. Once you reach the other side, got to the top and shoot the dragon as it comes pass. It will take time though.
The total protection spell will reduce alot of physical damage by about 1/4. Gives you a fighting chance. The boss fog gate will be found on the top of the wooden structure. As you enter the wooden structure, there will be a merchant on the left selling Mirdian Armour & also Talisman of God which you should buy for the crow. It will net you a colorless demon soul.
I used melee. Spend a few minutes to analyze his moves. Don't worry, he doesn't have the movement speed to come close to you. he does have a range attack but it is not lethal. Some can keep behind him like the adjudicator to pwn him.
Yeah World 5 is pretty depressing and they were successful in producing it that way. The Blue Dragon can only be killed on the entrance towards the palace. But it takes so many arrows that I gave up. The first part for the Blue Dragon is like the Red Dragon. The second part requires a bit of timing. It blows flames left and then right. You will need to run on the ones side and then switch to the other side before the dragon switches. You can check how far the flames reach by slowly walking up the stairs with either the Purple flame shield or Tower shield up (Both have 90% damage reduction to fire). I think it is the 2nd or 3rd step from the top that the flames will start touching you.
