hello everyone..... i was playing GTA V online yesterday and all of a sudden my game freezes and i get these green squares on my screen so i shut down my pc with the power button. i turn it on again and i still got green lines across the screen is there a problem with my graphics card? i am using DVI and VGA converter for my graphics.

please tell me how i can fix it. i did get my pc services about 3 weeks ago at matrix warehouse

well... then what graphics should i get that is powerful and is as powerful as the NVIDIA geforce GTX 760

Depends on your budget bro...

And what exactly does a PC Service entail?

my system

amd six core 2800mhz
8 gb ram ddr3 1600mhz hyper X
NVIDIA geforce GTX 760 2 GB
Gigabyte 730W PSU
gigabyte 990fxa ud3 AM3+

Happened a month back. HDMI to DVI connector to screen. Connected my laptop to the screen. Same problem. Connected the laptop VGA to screen VGA. Screen perfectly fine. So it might be the screen DVI connector on the monitor, sounds expensive. Next day I thought lets try another HDMI-DVI cable. These cables were quite expensive, but a HDMI-DVI converter at Incredible Connection @R50 and a HDMI cable borrowed from the TV, and it was perfectly fine again.

OP must first eliminate a bad cable before spending money. Test just the screen elsewhere, or test another screen and cable to your graphics card.

you know the thing is i have a VGA to display port cable but i still get Green lines on windows

Turn PC off, take the card out and then reseat it, make sure the pcie power cables are properly seated. Next try a DP-DP cable. Next try the card in another PC and screen. If still doing the same replace the card.

@ponder i tried the basic stuff like putting the graphics card into Different slots.. Same result. i will try with Brand new monitor cable first next week.
