Desperate for help with outlook 2007

I have a problem with my Gmail/Outlook 2007 and need expert help. Please PM me if you can help.
My PC was in for repair and I downloaded mail on my laptop and ipad. When I got my machine back I tried to be clever and messed around with IMAP on my Gmail account. I have now got about 2500 messages in my inbox but am unable to read them. Also I haven been able to download email since my pc went in for repair. I have sent test mail to myself whicxh appear in my gmail account but not in Outllook. Any help given will be much appreciated.
Problem is now resolved.
