Destiny 2 PC

So...I have heard that they already lost like 2 million players on this game...dead before it even arrives on pc?

Anyone play it yet? Any good?

Where are these figures from?

So far am really enjoying it, our SA clan is almost at cap and don't hear complaints tbh and people seem to be having a blast plus we've barely touched end game content on PC yet.

My only concern is longevity because it seems a little bit too easy in terms of character progression, that being said i haven't yet touched the prestige modes of the Nightfall & Raid and the first DLC is not that far away so could be very wrong...

So i created the Pap en Vleis clan for mostly our guildies from wow but we seem to be getting some interest externally from other Saffers.

If you are keen to join, apply and let dry

Considering a whatsapp group for the clan due to limited ingame social features :\

I just joined. You have a whatsapp group set up yet? Hoping to play with u guys tonight :)

So, general feeling for overall gameplay, endgame content?
How is this different than the likes of Warframe?

I'm amped to play the game from what I've seen/read, but not sure if I want to pay R900 and not have anything to do ingame once you reach cap.

Just watch some youtube reviewers and streamers and listen to their comments. You will quickly see a pattern.
I havn't played it nor and am i planning to get it so i won't raise my opinion too much but watching people on youtube is pretty telling.

Go to earlier posts in this thread and you'll see ODTech is very anti Destiny and Bungie, "the worst publisher in the industry"... Anyway he/she is entitled to his/her opinion.

Iv'e seen more good than bad reviews and many of the bad reviews pull up character progression and end game content as issues. Personally i feel like this is more an issue for hard core players but will obviously affect everyone as time goes. Bungie is already addressing this though, go check out yesterdays patch notes and keep in mind the first DLC is launching early December.

Do you mean level cap? If so, the game only starts then. The light level (item level / power level) cap is pretty tough to reach, its a decent grind.

Do more research so you don't waste a decent amount of cash on a game you wont enjoy but i think its worth it.

So the same thing as what happened with D1.
Lack of end game content, gamers milked more money via DLC to get a complete game.

I’ll wait for the game of the year edition.
Just for clarity, played D1 for over 1000 hours so have some experience with Bungie

You are selectively quoting me, leaving out important parts of the sentence. You are also putting words into my "mouth".

I'll clarify since you seem confused. I don't have anything against bungie or the destiny franchise. My issue is with the money whoring Activision.

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask, how is the clans and the game going?

This side we have 22 members, have completed the raid but everyone is not as active or maybe I should say "dedicated" enough as some here would like. Not hardcore, it just sux when 6 ppl are raiding and another group wants to do a run also, but struggles to get 1 more person on at the correct time.

Maybe its time to consider joining forces with some so there is more fun to be had?

You should consider merging with or joining another clan, our clan is quite large and it helps a lot as there are always people to join in on activities. We're (The Undying Legion) currently at cap and we already have a waiting list.

Yep. While I loved D1 and enjoy D2 as well, once you get to a certain stage it becomes boring. Not enough end game content as has been said. Killing off "god roll's" on weapons also removes some of the grind fun - once you have a weapon, you have it (and it's the same as everyone else's).

Of course, content will fill up over time, but right now it's not the complete article. I don't regret having pre-ordered it though (with the DLC); just that I'm going to play other games as filler in the meantime.

Interesting to see your feedback as if I remember you joined at hurt Taken King expansion.
Very interesting POV

Yes, I did join late on (was a special too), and thus missed all the drama at the beginning. :)

I think I would have been annoyed if joined at the beginning though (of D1). And I might have been annoyed if Destiny 2 was my first experience as well. But I'm pre-biased as I loved D1, and D2 is a gorgeous game on the Pro.

We are around 20 people as well. I know the guys tried to the raid over the weekend and had a few guys coming and going
Didn't have enough for a full team online over the weekend. We can chat if you want, we can see what we can work out

I agree about the semi-lack of end game content, it certainly isn't a game you can focus on for months on end as you will hit a theoretical "max progression" until new content is released/unlocked. In a couple of weeks i can see myself back on CSGO and other games and just grinding D2 every reset until new content is released.

But i think a lot of peoples queries here were more on the lines of: is it fun and does it have enough end game content to keep me busy and be worth the money (as it is an expensive game). Personally i think its well worth it.

Its a pity they haven't made trials available like you get in WoW, with it being such a mash up of genre's I've noticed a trend of people either love it or hate it and being able to trial the game would answer most of potential players questions before they buy.
