I've been playing the PC version for a few days now, and I can say with confidence that it's definitely not a quick console port. It looks gorgeous, and plays great with a mouse and keyboard.
 
good to hear. deus ex 2 sucked. small levels, poor graphics. i just hope the new one will have been developed to make full use of a pc's power
 
I hate this game. Started playing for 20 mins and then wham, hours later it's 4 in the morning and I need sleep.

This game is Brilliant.

Actually stuck hiding behind a box now.
 
Some of the graphicas are quite heavy, I managed to finish the first mission in that early morning stint.

It is a great game, can contend with Portal2 but that still wins GOTY for me.
 
Went out and bought this at 7pm last night, started playing around 9:30pm. Got to bed at 3:20 am this mnorning. I would say it has my interest :)

It's for this specific reason I didn't activate mine om Thursday night/Friday morning. I knew I wouldn
't get any sleep if I did.

First time I did the first mission I tried for stealth but ended up killing most of the people due to messing up. I have tried it a secomd time and managed to get the entire mission without being spotted.

I'm using 5 saves in a rotation in case I mess up amd have to go back further. I remember times in Deus Ex 1 where I messed up and the most recent save wasn't helping and the other saves was too far back.

I agree, definitely an epic game, I'm enjoying it from a 'go forth and slaughter' point of view. Once I finish the game that way I'll do the sneaky sneaky thing :)
 
Very addictive indeed. After finishing Crysis 2 campaign last week, Deus EX's graphics aren't comparable for a DX11 game, but still good. Gameplay wise, it's great. It really captures the exact play feel of the original Deus EX. Love it!

PS, is just me or is there no subtitle toggle option in the menus..? I hate playing with subtitles in games, it removes the cinematic element for me.
 
I think its under audio options. I turned it off 2 minutes into the game. You still get subtitles from any comms through the cochlear implant though
 
Kalahari still hasnt delivered my copy to me. This is why I use TakeAlot normally.

Let me put it to you like this, if you enjoyed the combat and cover system of ME you'll see many similarities to Deus Ex, furthermore, the voice dialogue of the lines lends an air of sophistication to the game.

I honestly recommend the game.

(And bring on ME3, I've already preordered the collectors edition :D )

Okay, thanks :) I'm looking for a game to fill the void until ME3 comes along. I think I will have to book myself off sick the week it comes out! :D

I CANNOT wait, more excited about ME3 than any other upcoming game...

It's tough for me. Skyrim and BF3 come out soon too :/

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with myself when I have all three.

yep....just finished DE3 last night, about 22+ hours of fun, but when Skyrim comes out my life will be over......that game will take 200 hours of my life again :D
