Principle Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Development team to bring new software releases to production more effectively
- Develop and deploy OSS tools for use within the Cloud Operations group
- Develop, deploy and manage a highly-scalable and high-availability platforms monitoring and maintaining service performance and availability metrics
- Automate everything from deployment to monitoring and management to incident response
- Take ownership of our configuration management platforms
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
- Assist identifying and mitigating security threats to comply with a strict security compliance
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
- Produce high-level design documentation where required
- Ensure close collaboration between Development and Operations, enabling smoother operation between teams
Required Skills and Experience:

- Configuration management tools - Chef / Pupet
- Monitoring systems - Cacti, Nagios, Splunk, Spiceworks, Zenoss, FusionReator
- Continuous integration tools - Jenkis, NAnt, MSBuild, Maven
- Strong Linux administration: Ubuntu / Debian, Redhat / CentOS
- Advanced Windows administration: Windows Server - IIS - ActiveDirectory - WMI - Powershell - Clustering
- Web technologies: Apache / Ngnix - Squid - HAProxy - Mod_security - WebDAV - AJP Proxy - cgi scripting
- Administration, monitoring and optimization of JBoss / Tomcat / Jrun4 / Glassfish- Java application servers
- Lateral thinking, reverse engineering, good at problem solving
- Experience securing servers covering file integrity / intrusion detection / application firewalls / auditing
- Experience with issue tracking - JIRA / Bugzilla / CVStrac
- Version control systems - Git / SVN / SourceControl / CVS
- Obsession for good documentation: using wiki to log changes, write procedures and instructions
- Strong knowledge of at least one of Python, Perl, PHP or shell scripting
- Services over network - NFS - iSCSI - Samba - Ldap - DNS - rsync - Load Balancers - SSL off-load
- Virtualisation technology - VMware - Hyper-V - Xen
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Agile / Scrum Development
- Caching Technologies - Memcached - Couchbase - Varnish
- WSO2 Carbon - ESB - Identity Server - API Manager
- You’ve built monitoring for production infrastructure
- Experience supporting Development teams using JSon, REST, Soap, XML, Ajax
- MySQL and MSSQL DBA skills as well as NoSQL solutions
- Knowledge and experience of working with package management systems like RPM, .deb, etc
- Experience of working/transitioning to a continuous deployment strategy
- Experience with Security Audits - Penetration tests - Security certifications - ISO 27000 / PCI
- Programming skills and have strong interest in DevOps, Systems Engineering or Build and Release Engineering

Terms and Conditions:
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
Probation Period: 3 months
Notice Period: 1 month
Holidays: 20 days per annum, 22 days after 2 years, after that 1 day per year up to 25 days max
