Diablo 2 - High Resolution Mod Released

OMG thats amazing, thanks for the worthless input :) Now off you go..... ;)

As far as I understand it breaks the AI and they just stand around doing nothing. Not much fun I don't think. I happen to have D2 installed, so I will DL and see if it works for me, by way of apology. :D

It doesn't break the AI, BUT the AI for the monsters outside of the original intended resolution for the game don't "see" you where you can see them. Until you enter "their field of vision" they just stand still :)

Yes, that is what I am referring to, so any ranged character is at a huge advantage.

or use the glide wrapper
enable desktopresolution and keep aspect ratio

Perhaps try this, running with a glidewrapper will make your D2 look prettier and run much faster.

Seems to work for the guy in the thread, from what I could tell from the Multires thing, it only works properly in directdraw, which sucks.

Looks like you may have to upgrade to latest patch as well, 1.13a I think.

1.13 doesn't work with mulitires IIRC, which is why 1.12 was necessary. Will try Glidewrapper.

Was excited at the topic title, but it's just the resolution changer. "High res mod" = thought of a whole overhaul of textures etc in high res.

If you are playing D2 single player and just for the hell of it, I cannot recommend this enough:

http://modsbylaz.hugelaser.com/

It is utterly brilliant and makes the original game look like it was made by inbred monkeys.

Also, this is pretty useful and comes with PlugY and glidewrapper pre-installed:

Should you decide to give any mods a try, go here:

Again, I can't recommend MedianXL enough.

:D

Let me know if you need more help, with the d2mod manager it should be easy as pie, mod takes some getting used to, give it a chance and read the documentation. I promise you, it's well worth it if you are looking for a Diablo fix. :D
