Over a million puppies found furever homes over the weekend =)

(ie, over a million players dinged level 20 in the closed beta.... mad numbers!)
 
Gave the beta a good go over the weekend, but I'm not seeing anything I'm super impressed with.

Refunded my pre-order for now. I'll give it a few months to mature after launch and try again.

The devs rushed their nuts off (there were articles about how hectic it was) to make this game hit the day 1 Gamepass deadline just as the Microsoft deal went through in March, but sadly the deal got delayed. You'll notice it's got season pass models built in etc so it's sustainable on the Gamepass model. I remember a shot of Phil Spencer at some awards right after the deal ran into trouble and the guy was PISSED, they really ran the Diablo team ultra hard doing insane overtime for nothing.. The game was supposed to be the big Activision-Blizzard title heralding the merger on Gamepass day 1.

So I feel bad for the devs, and am in the same boat as you, I'll check it out on Gamepass when the time comes.

Will definitely check it out this weekend to see how it handles our network latency.

This is a Kripparian video, not Asmongold? He doesn't knock D4 too bad, guy is a legend in the scene, and POE didn't start out a 9/10 either, that's for damn sure, these things grow to be great, or don't, I guess.
 
The beta is now available for download. Can't believe I have to wait until Friday to play. And then until June to play the full game.
 
I watched a buddy play Saturday morning.
Looked way better than the "blizz devs play on the couch" on the console version, which was :sick:

Bought it after seeing what his game looked like and how it played. Jammed the **** out of it and looking forward as heck to the open beta this weekend and launch.
Didn't look at what "the people" said, but rather went with what I saw on my own - which was really fun.
 
Already downloaded on both pc and Xbox Series X, need to compare the two and decide which platform I want it on. Although I've struggled in the past with D3 on console, so I'll probably end up playing it on PC.

I'd recommend to run it on PC.
The console vids I've seen looks significantly poorer.
