Did WASPA solve your SMS issues?

Actually, WASPA have been very good at sorting out all the spam SMSs that I get. Even the threat of WASPA is remarkably effective.

WASPA is very effective at resolving issues. What consumers need to realize is that each incident that is not a mearly "I subscribed but do not know how to unsubscribe" needs investigation by the WASP. Many people subscribe to these subscription services and/or make use of WAP services.

When adult material is involved it is sometimes, but not always, found to be as a result of person X's partner finding out and he (or she) could be using the WASP as a scapegoat.

Should a WASP be found to be in the wrong then they are given reasonable time to correct this and should they continue this offence or have a track record of repeated offences they will receive a hefty fine.

I will not say what the ratio of successful / unsuccessful WASPA complaints that are found in favour of the consumer (this info is freely available) as it depends on the individuals involved.

Don't think you can download porn and claim it was not you (it happens - alot), also do not accept a rogue WASP from deducting your airtime either or allowing your phone to be SPAMMED (personal experience).

* I work for an aggregation WASP and I develop and maintain our callcenter application that handles many unsubscribe requests.
