Is a bonnet bra a "stone guard"? I have one on my car (bought it like that, demo model). Tried to take it off but it is bolted to the bonnet :wtf:. Don't see the point of it: sure it can't protect the bonnet much? And it looks quite "zef" which is why I tried to take it off.
But then there will be holes in the bonnet?:wtf:Open bonnet, loosen screws, remove gaurd. A bonnet bra is a like a leather bonnet glove for lack of a better explanation.
No, then it wasnt fitted correctly. There will be clamps that tighten on the edges of the bonnet.
Those bonnet things are so stupid. I would rather have 20 tiny chips on the bonnet, than one massive bonnet guard.
Yup then try to sell your car with those chips and the trade in value will be adjusted for a bonnet respray. You loose alot. And you also have to deal with rust , if you live at the coast.
Whereas with it, the dealership merely unclips the used bonnet guard and sells the car without it. And it is an easier sale.
Some people get wary when a bonnet has been resprayed.
I do not have a bonnet guard on any of my cars, because I hate the look. But it is functional.
Oh, and apart from the Recaro seat I also fitted seat covers I bought from Checkers. They are black and have a pink gecko on.
Bet they added 10 wkw.
Good point actually. The other day the owner of said Recaro seat (my wife) told me that it needs be specified on the insurance because it is worth about 20% of the car insured value.most expensive mod to my car - a full tank of petrol![]()
You must see what a bonnet looks like after you remove a Bra - dust gets under the edge, and chafes away at the paint and etches a nice little line into the paintwork -> bonnet respray!
