Die from a Budgie bite?

Dude, budgies are so venomous they make you ill before they've even bitten you. I'd go see a surgeon, like yesterday.

They are not venomous. *sigh* From Wikipedia:
Auffenberg described the budgerigar as having septic pathogens in its saliva, specifically the bacteria: E. Coli, Staphylococcus sp., Providencia sp., Proteus morgani and P. mirabilis.[28] He noted that while these pathogens can be found in the mouths of wild budgerigars, they disappear from the mouths of captive animals, due to a cleaner diet and the use of antibiotics.[28][29] This was verified by taking mucous samples from the external beak surface of the upper jaw of two freshly captured individuals.[28][29]

Get the bird on clean food ASAP and see a doctor for some antibiotics.

Must I teach you everything, copa-san?

Am i going to die?

Maybe.

There are a few things birds can transmit to humans (honestly).

1. Salmonella.
2. Avian chlamydia (psittacosis), this is the worst one. Try and explain this one to your mom.
3. Macaw Wasting Syndrome (Proventricular Dilation syndrome), not limited to Macaws.
4. Candida. Imagine you get a yeast infection in conjunction with chlamydia, your mom's gonna kill you before you have a chance to die.

When's the last time you had a tetanus shot?

um, not sure really.

I think i have had two or three in my life time from about 12 years old. Im 21 now.

I'd get a tetanus shot just to be safe. Highly doubt it has tetanus bacteria in it's mouth but since tetanus is completely incurable once symptoms start showing best not to take the risk, ever, IMHO. As for anti-bacterial, hmm, I wouldn't. Not only are they expensive, you need to take an entire course which messes around with your digestive system. A single shot or pill is pointless and only serves to increase the resistance of the bacteria.

Best advice for such thing are, as usual. Wash thoroughly afterward with something like Gill or Dettol (or whatever it's called). Bit late for that now, but for future reference ;)

And I haven't actually check any of the above mentioned bacteria/protozoa but usually 1 day after is wee bit short incubation period to be showing symptoms already.

I will ask to have all my appendages removed, just in case.

A castration will do, you won't need your nuts after women find out you were bled by a budgie.

Oh, and nothing succeeds like a toothless budgie...

OP, look at the mouth of an octopus. It's identital to a budgie's mouth and octopuses are poisonous. Coincidence? I think not.

The budgie died today :(

Apparently, cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouths.

Because budgie's have very sensitive immune systems, if the bite does not kill them, the bacteria will after a couple of days.

Sad. He was a cute little guy.

Sorry to hear that.

Are you still OK?
No side effects?
