OK so, If I have a 384 line, I will get 256kbps download speeds (burstable to 384) and upload speeds of 128?
 
So, Dave, you don't limit upload like you limit download. So if I have a 4meg line, I can download at 256 but upload at 512? That would work nicely for my private tracker ratio!
 
Ive been running them since 15:00 yesturday, ive downloaded over 2gb, have had any downtime and my pings to the uk are much quicker than on helkom and mweb. Guys lets give them lots of support, they doing what we have been crying for, for many years.
 
to bbc.co.uk, 285ms and the exact same time mweb was 375ms
to a site hosted in the usa, 364ms and mweb where 487ms

Its part of the registration process. The subscription process - whereby we collect bank account details and you choose a package - allows for you to nominate the person that referred you.

Dave, Thanks for the feedback.
Just checked out your web site now - and it has been updated to reflect the official launch. However I still don't see any option where we complete a registration form and fill in banking details. (I have registered on the site with required details). How will this be affected? Online form or print and send?
If the wait/hype that seems to be accompanying your pre-launch is as great as the load time on the SARS efiling site on the 20 Nov, then you're in for problems.
Why not alleviate the load a bit and give us the forms a bit earlier. Also you need to do a credit check (if debiting from a bank account), so how is all this going to happen on Saturday?

Has anybody actually sat down and worked out if these uncapped dialup accounts (Its damn shame to call 256K an ADSL account, might as well get ISDN) are really that much less expensive than any of the other crippled uncapped accounts out there?
 
Well R300 is in my budget, R1500 is not. it may not be as fast but i think most of s only have 384k accounts at home

The 4Mbps line has an upload speed of either 512 or 640kbps, depending on your exchange.

They charging pro rata? Or do you have cough up the full R300 if you sign up mid month?
