DigiChilli January Status and feedback

If it runs fine, why is this thread making such a loud noise? Ofcourse, people are continuing to complain because they are not happy, else we wouldnt be here :)

You don't mirror the whole international NS, you just cache content as it moves through. It not that hard to setup. They just pay the international NS for access to their content.

It's just a glorified cache server.

Point taken, setting it up might be easy, but it's still gonna take some serious bandwidth pulling content from international...that is the point I wanted to get accross.

No, I'm at work...so may others. I'll REALLY complain when I get home :D

First day on digichilli. Had login details since 1pm today and haven't had a minute of uptime. :)

I was pleasantly surprised when I phoned their call centre to find out a lot of isp's were experiencing downtime. Must be some really strange ones I've never heard though since afrihost (IS), telkomisp (saix), gconnect and webafrica all seem to be working.

I am really amazed at how bad this ISP is! I don't think it's even fair to call them an ISP since I've not received any service as of yet.

I'm not claiming it perfect, because it not, but it's not nearly as bad as is often made out.

There must be a few hundred mybroadband users using digichilli right now, and if you count the amount of people actively complaining in this thread it's probably less than 10.

Things have been getting better, and I expect see further improvements once they have their shaper tuned in.

The other few hundred can't complain since their connections are possibly dead...like mine and The_Mowgs ? ;)

Glad to see that your still being positive inspite of all the BS they'v been doing lately.

haha, well you signed up the very day everything fell apart. It was going quite well for about 10 days.

Today they are heavily altering the shaper, so expect a degraded service for the next while, everything should be faster than it was once it's setup.

I hope so and I really hope it's faster than it is now. 0Kb/s in internet terms is a little slow for my liking.

Ive done around 30 gigs this month. (MILD account, shared)

The digichilli product is slowly maturing, but for now they occasionally show their "youth". It's annoying, but im for now i'm still getting value.

Digichilli is like a "maid", annoying sometimes, but still worth the hassle.

Why do people stay with DC is there is not even 1 happy customer. I've been with SAOL for a few weeks now. Absolute bliss.

That sounds great. But I do not want to move my line over to them. It limits your choices in the future.
