I just started up and DC was dead, so I tried telkom and it was dead for a few attempts, then it logged on and I switched to DC. It then logged on.

The graphs all looked the same for 5 tests. 25-35KB speeds for the 1st section, then the usual drop to 0 for a max delay of 2-3 seconds, then the erratic section, which drops the average to around 10-14KB. http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php?photo=14479&cat=500

Exact opposite situation here...............

I'm quite certain this is a result of their shoddy shaper, especially noting (according to lightscribe) how speeds are initially good and then drop suddenly. To me that looks like the shaper kicking in after the tcp/ip connection is established. Their "virtual pipe" IS shaped (otherwise they wouldn't need a "shaper" which they've mentioned numerous times) and most of us are the worse off for it.

Also, Dave might've had a few tantrums (and called people noobs here and there) but thus far he gave 10000% better customer service than Andre. Andre ignores my mails and ignores this forum whereas I'd usually get a reply from Dave within 5 minutes. Informing people is the easiest way to basic customer satisfaction during complications..........I can't understand why he doesn't see that.

See DC does still check mybb, they know we know that they know about the whole bursting debucle :p

On the bright side there IS bursting going on but nothing to write home about. Getting a stable 24kB/s and bursting up to 29kB/s while not special it is certainly a welcomed improvement. I still have an eerie feeling that telkom is holding DC back here with these damn "cable maintenance" DC has enogh bandwidth especially if they're still going ahead with a news server.

Once agian we NEED an update Andre/Dave. You owe that much to us. :)
