DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Pure HTTP downloads have been 100% but I have also had a few odd page issues here and there with Gmail timing out or the Square Enix login page pretending it doesn't exist for a few minutes (and so forth). Nothing major so far though.

My DC has just died, Anybody else?

Edit: Running again. It must have been one of those 5 minute disconnects.

what speeds are 4meg lines users getting on a mild or spicy account?

Well I can only speak as a 384k user, also been with them from the beginning and can say that the product have improved. There is very rarely a time that I don't get full speed with the DC account. (HTTP; FTP; News Servers) and to a bit lesser extent torrents but think that got more to to with the seeders. Also my ping local & int is them same/if not better than my saix account using pingtest. Local online gaming is also very good.

I don't know, but I hope that DC limits the account to what is on their website (spicy - burst to 384 and mild - burst to 512).

The only real problem there still is with Dc is customer support. They left all of their users in the dark with the seacom outages.

Absk, forgive me if I'm wrong here but you come across as if you're expecting the mild or spicy accounts to achieve greater speeds than 384/512 on a 4meg line. If this is the case DC is still not and will not ever be for you. We pretty much get what we pay for and there's a damn good reason the 4mb package costs what it does.

That is what I want to know, in the old days, 4meg users were getting anything from 30KB/s to 420KB/s on a spicy account. So my question is actually, have they managed to "shape" the high speed lines to package speeds?

I believe DC have finally shaped their packages, but if you're lucky enough you might burst up to 512k speeds on the spicy package. Whether or not DC is allowing real bursting anymore is kinda irrelevant seeing as they are definately semi-shaped to actually not shaped at all. Speeds are always full line speed day and night :D

DC might be a bit more expensive but you do really get what you pay for :)

I've got to apologise to DC it seems that Megaupload was having trouble on their servers thats why it was so slow :p But whatever they've done has severly limited the amount you can download as a free user. It's almost like a max of 1GB a day or less

Having a great weekend with DC again :)

Anyone else been having an issue lately whereby there DC dies randomly a few times during the day and needs a disconnect/reconnect or router restart to revive it? (That is, it doesn't even lose the connection but the connection is useless until a restart occurs)

Aaaaaaaand now my DC has just died (auth errors) for about 30 minutes (and going). Additionally their site appears unreachable so I can't even get their phone number to call.

(Sounds like a repeat of my last post but.....) Anyone else?

Same, dead here. I was hoping it was one of those 5 minute disconnects but it's been dead for 20 minutes.

Dead here too. Last time this happened to me DC's internet was down it was nearly 18 hours before I could log back on :(

I hope this is going to be a quick outage =/
