Having done a Google, it seems the very high 2meg and above speeds I got on the Speedtest.net results, were either the ISP and the way it handles traffic, or the flash on a pc not being updated(mine is), or just the San Francisco test, which seems to go haywire for others also. The LA test and others are fine.

Secondlife still not working. Logs in, but then nothing loads, or at least, at still only 1KBps...and disconnects me within a minute.

Yep, so if you want to mess with the brain of a noob, or you're a noob and want to mess with the brain of a techie, do the San Francisco test on a low line speed and tell them you've "tweaked" your pc to outperform anything out there...

I called dc this morning and they said they were making changes today to improve torrents and we should notice the difference shortly.

Spartaniz says he does. Other still do also. It should be stopped over the next few days, hopefully. People will only reach their paid for and allocated speeds and burst to double that.

If you want that kind of speed...why not go for the more expensive accounts? I'm on mild and getting just under 85kb...which is what DC advertised.

I concur, my 85KB has been fairly constant, so no complaints there. I don't think there should be an expectation for more than what is advertised.

They will have to if they want to make this statement true:

I mean torrents are still a form of up and downloading and for the past couple of weeks, my download speed was around 5-7KBs and upload 400bps-900bps (at the times I sat before my machine). I mean it takes me about 4 days to download 350MB. EEEEEESSHHH!!!

I've got 512kbps line with the SPICY package.

I am still unable to connect. Got 2 emails from them with different password. None of them work. Will have to send another mail to support and hopefully they can send me the right password.

I have tried that. But still no luck.

Try authenticating 6 times on your modem....It worked for me:wtf:

It seems that they had disconnected me for non payment. I had to resend the proof of payment that I send on the 3rd of January. I could connect again this afternoon.
