DigiChilli January Status and feedback

HTTP downloads going nicely at about +- 30 KB/s this morning apart from the odd TCP disconnect.
Big improvement Dave & the team thus far.

:twisted:I cannot seem to find a decent local torrent site...Any suggestions?

That is the million dollar question.

I've been looking for a good (free) local site for months now.
That info seems to be a closely guarded secret however.

You dont need a local torrent site with DC, its uncapped international. Rather get a international torrent site

Duh.. Now why didn't I think of that.

Thanks blaaislaai, I was thinking more of the local bandwidth that I have going to waste on my other account every month ;)

My international torrents are still very slow. Most of my downloads will take more than 4 weeks to complete.

Mine dropped from 35KBps to 0.1KBps (last night-> this morning) :(
And FTP is still limited <== this really is a problem for me.

True...I just wanted to check if there is any speed difference, most likely not.

Youtube streaming also slow...Browsing is not bad though, I would just like to see some improvement regarding Torrents..

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

Remember you can't compare local to intl torrents..... local isn't all about speed speed speed....

Hey guys

I've given up on torrents.

I got Mipony up and running, lined up my downloads
from Rapidshare and I've managed to download about 500meg in the last 6hours.

At that rate, I think I'll get my money's worth.

I'm using www.rslinks.org as my Rapidshare search.
You guys know of any better search?

Xbox Live - Not live. Still complains about not receiving ICMP responses correctly. Works fine with another DSL account.
Browsing has seriously improved.
Torrents are coming down at rate of 5-12 KBps peak occasionally at 20KBps - International.

The last 24 hours has seen a remarkable improvement in HTTP downloads for me, it seems to be flying most of the time (50-70k/sec), lets see if it lasts. But good job DC

But the FTP thing doesnt make sense to me either, its considered a business protocol right? so why is it running at a constant 1.0 k/sec?
So for now i still can only use HTTP.

DigiChilli Network Status December2009 /January 2010

Things look good on the network.

Any issues, you are encouraged to mail myself and support for resolution.

For people like Burn and others that are still having problems I would suggest to put it in an email, maybe 1 email with all the queries like Xbox, torrents, slow browsing, etc.

I had some concerns of my own and I mailed Dave. He answered me the same day and answered my questions. I'm using a test account and are not paying, yet.

Now if he can do this for a non paying customer, I'm pretty sure that he will definitely tell a paying customer what the timeline is on these errors still being experienced.
