Sorry, can't read through 130 pages of complaints, but what news server can you access with the DC account?

SAIX, IS, or must go Astra/Giga?

im not sure if its worth getting DC anymore for downloading. My connection to astra peaks @140Kb/s. http downloading for me peaks @ 6kb/s. Steam updates peak @ 10Kb/s.

"256/8 *0.83=~26Kb/s"

so im not gerring my "minimum garunteed" speeds on the services they are targeting.

Im on the R300 pacakge. Use to get max line on astra until everyone on mybb sh@t themselves.

@Dave, will i get better astraweb speeds on the R500 package?, your not replying my emails.

R300 and R500 are same speed, only one more concurrent connection, so if you can get your modem to have more than one connection, then yes better speed, otherwise same speed.

oh ok, so then you have another leased line from telkom aswell?
 
Hello People well my http download ent like the devil yesterday 30-40KBps but my torrents never go above 10KBps ....Dave isnt it possible to limit the people just to 256kbps in stead of limiting protocols???
 
My torrents are killing it at 56kbs overall on Utorrent...Im Loving this speed! THANK YOU DIGICHILLI!!! Guys Dave needs help in getting a NewsServer? Astraweb isnt getting back to him can you maybe give some ideas on newsservers he can contact?

Thanks Dave, My Torrents and browsing seemed fine yesterday... torrents aren't yet there (guaranteed minimum speed) but it is looking better, Xbox live was connecting, thats about all it tried on it. Haven't tried anything on PSN yet...

This morning before I left I tested my connection...pitty about RS, but overall things are looking much better...not sure how others feel.
 
Dave please sort out these Rapidshare problems ASAP, without Rapidshare your uncapped services are pointless for me and if the speeds aren't improved I'm going to be asking for a Refund(which is unfortunate, up until the last few days I've been really impressed with your services) .

I had only just paid for another month of Rapidshare on Saturday and now I now I can't even use it with DigiChilli. I'm on a 384kbps line and would at the very least like to be able to get the minimum of 256kbps speed that is promised on your website, not 0KB/s.
 
PS3 - Fails to connect to PSN, however I'm still able to update my games(which is new, before I had to be signed in to update my games) and download games, demo's, etc that have been added to the download queue from PSN.
Downloading is very slow though.

Can't really see gaming online with PS3 being a good experience with Spicy package if I lag quite a bit (most games)getting full line speed(384kbps) using my Telkom, Axxess and Afrihost accounts.
I could be wrong though.

If i sign up today will i pay pro-rate or will i pay the full R300(January) for spicy?

As far as I understand it the problem is not to give you your minimum package speed, but rather allowing you to burst to full line speed.

There are other uncapped services which allows you to stick to the speed you pay for but if you want the ability to go beyond the package speed DC is the only game in town.

If they could simply shape based on the IP address things would have been much simpler. As it is they have to shape based on IP address and traffic and based on the time of day.

I'm not defending them and I am as unhappy as the next person about the fact that my torrents are still limping after a month, but I'd like to point out that on 28 December we could only do http browsing. Everything else was dead. Skype would sporadically disconnect, Gtalk would not even connect. In fact anything with a strange protocol was blown clean out the water.

As of now I can download http multithreaded, my Steam connects and I've bought 5 games and downloaded from Steam, my Xbox Live downloaded a 728MB addon, my wife can play Pathwords on facebook to her heart's content without losing her high scores and browsing responds at a fair clip.
