for some people its working, for others not. Mine can't authenticate for the past 2 hours.
As nice as the updates are etc etc , at the end of the day, I am not paying Dave & Co to be nice and friendly and give regular updates, I am paying for iaccess. If I am not getting that, I am not getting good service.
Customer care is nothing if the fundamental service is not being fully provided as contractually stated upfront.
Its getting a wee bit frustrating.

Well for R50 more you get a working connection at SAOL...but hey, these are great guys...if you dont mind not having internet at all...
You do realize once the cybersmart/saol network fills up with tens of thousands unlimited users they will have to start shaping as well.
The saol "unlimited users" represent such a small percentage of the overall usersbase that they are able to give you free reign.

Yes. Try every now and then. Reboot the pc and router. It worked for me.

Cant connect for the last few hours. Hope they fix there radias soon, if thats where the issue is. Strange that some can still connect.

Just to remind straatkat, the average usage per user on the digichilli network has been 50 gigs.
So you can hardly say they stealing from the majority, in fact, the majority are getting unbelievable value in terms of downloads.
This is what i think Digichilli should do. They should find the users who have only been able to download 8 gigs or less, and offer those people a discount for next month. Clearly they have suffered the worst. (R240 / 8gigs = R30 a gig)
The rest of us have had quite a good time.
I've downloaded about 43 gigs so far this month (mild account shared between friends), so i'm obviously extremely happy.

You do. Even internationally overselling is standard practice.
I can't understand why Digichilli is getting so much slack? You people must be out of your mind. Go read the Screamer thread on page 1 to the end. They pulled the same stuff on launch and they got hammered!
To get this straight, Dave and company have been very nice, giving feedback, being hell of a guys all round...so then it is ok to take your money and not provide you a service? All in the name of teething problems...Guys, CON MEN IS ALSO VERY NICE AND VERY HELPFULL! They also take your money and promise you the world. That is the art of con-men, 101!
I have read these threads, this one, the monster Digichilli one, some of the smaller ones, the SAOL one the Screamer one...even the forums on Digichilli.
WOW, f@cking WOW is all I can say! My most favourite line is this one: "So we have tried unshaped, and it just does not work."
Hello, SAOL is unshaped, Screamer is unshapped...and hey, they are working (even the screamer one from what I understand). Downloading single thread HTTP at full speed. Doing torrents at full speed, grabbing from news servers full speed. Unshapped and uncapped...
What do these people know that Digichilli don't?
What gets me down is however everyone in this forum saying please support these people...and it is the exact same people that blasted Screamer! Unreal!
I agree with straatkat 100%. Why are you guys putting up with this and paying for a half working service? I have read some posts when DC guys are happy because they have downloaded over 50Gb etc, I would also be happy but the fact of the matter is this is still a half working service.
If you want to use MSN or Skype or do some internet banking etc you just gotta hope the network is working at the time. This is the same as getting a new car that goes very well some days then other days it doesnt go at all, that cracks me up
. Has anyone even noticed that the time frames for fixing these issues is just getting longer and longer?
