Slow

Well, just signed up for DigiChilli on the er, lowest R300 package thing ma bob.

Speeds are hideously slow.

10kbps using rapidshare etc etc and torrents are between 0-7

Browsing is slow...

anyone else?
 
Yep its been like this for a while now, while they were working on things.
Tomorrow afternoon everything should be back to normal I believe. o.O
 
That is the problem with everyone. When the new hardware gets installed tomorrow we should (hopefully) see a huge improvement :).

I'll still give them a day or two to set up the shaping and everything else along with the new hardware. I'd say by Saturday or Sunday, we might see a different chilli being served to us :D
 
Speeds have been crap for me all along. Been d/l 400kb's of data over the past 2 hours. I've been downloading in spikes all the time. Not worth it for me. SAOL seems to be the better option atm until DC sorts out this poor service.
 
2 Downloads running in the browser at 6 and 8k.

Not too slow when downloading more than one thing at a time.

If the speeds can get to 25-35k steady, with a single download, then the system is fine.

Then bursting will be the cherry on the cake. :D

Secondlife needs that steady flow of at least 25-35k to work.
 
WOW! Looks like everything but HTTP and EMAIL is dead, well on my side any way. Can't connect to Steam, can't connect to GTalk and can't connect to Impulse either. Well atleast i can get my torrents at 56k speeds.

Totally unable to authenticate. We0. Tells me I'm already logged in twice. Which I'm not :D

Can get to the userstats page but can't login to the chilli page.

Otherwise I hear (from the other guy using my conn) that speeds aren't tooo bad.

Morning all. The Cisco guys didn't finish all we wanted but we're getting there.

Things looking better here. How're they out there?

Any auth problems: mail me directly so we can clean up please.
We're looking into the error 773 issue.

Latency issues? Any dns, or no site in sight. same

Slow torrents: Hang in there. They're better aren't they. Tomorrow should be much better.

Disconnects a thing of the past? Thanx Telkom.

Ohhh, impulse. I never knew it existed. I've got it now and have just bought Europa Universalis III and 2 expansions for less that R100.

I'm not having the same problems downloading the game as I'm having with steam though. Things are going along nicely at around 18-19 KB/s.
 
DAve any eta on the dpi install yet???

edit: Guys my internet has gone done the drain again ...anybody else have the same problem???

I have gone back to my Telkom account, seems none of my login details are working. FYI over the course of the evening I had good torrent speeds :).
