Just one gig left of the Runes of magic update then i can start playing
 
How is everyone else Steam downloads? Mine have been sitting on 1% since connecting this morning :(. It goes to 3.7KB/s then drops to nothing :(...

*edit* HTTP download is super fast!
 
ok,dont seem tohave any packet loss,but bbc.co.uk and cnn.com -still tkaes 5 mins to load.local fine as usual.
 
Hey Dave, any joy for clearing my ghost connections? Getting bandwith-envy here :)

Not true, the only difference is you are paying SAOL and not Telkom, if you don't want internet from SAOL, then you just pay them for the line and have your own ISP, I have used my Digichilli account with them. The beneficial thing here is if you have any problems SAOL takes care of it and not our "friends" at Telkom. :D

this is not always possible as Mweb when u sign up with them they give you a router that wont allow any other username in it besides mwebs one...kinda BS hey!
 
Just have one issue, torrents are very slow...

Might be because rapidshare is hogging the connection but i will check when the download finishes and i am back from going out.

COZ THE SUN IS SHINING IN DURBAN!!!! Sort of.

I have a telkom router so it is open to any ISP. Agreed I wouldn't go with Mweb if they lock your router to their network :wtf:

Same here. Browsing seems decent, I can download at roughly a constant 30KB/s from HTTP, which is good enough on my 384 line. Torrents are completely dead. Getting like 2KB/s from something that's seeded okay-ish.
 
Cant connect either. what error do you get graytg? i get error when it registers computer to network
 
ok,seems to be looking up.local doing max line speed,no timeouts.http browsing int is okish.not superfast but useable
and int download,getting like 40kbytes a sec.
double that with multithread download manager.best of all no packetloss.glad they fixed that.
 
I still can't connect either, probably got banned. Now whats the use of having uncapped if you are not allowed to download?? sorry but I'm gonna cancel my account if it happens again.

must say flying now.first time its been useable.only did total of 3 gigs whole of dec.now it seems to be good. int downloads coming in at 250kbytes(multithreaded) a sec.got 384 account on 4mbit line.
 
yeah I guess I am banned, but just don't understand why they doing it. their packages are advertised as unthrottled, uncapped and no thresholds.
 
Local for me means using Akamai enabled services.. like Technet..

Pulling down Home Server and Office 2010 for now....

Well how much did you download? With uncapped I think they mean, you can download as much as you want....not download the entire internet in one day
