I bet we're about to get an update from Dave ...![]()
2. Is there no way to at least allocate the minimum guaranteed bandwidth per user? I think if you could at least allow everyone the b/w they're paying for (or at least 80% of the b/w they're paying for if the discount remains in place) you are not as likely to lose a huge chunk of your subscribers on Friday afternoon.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the update. Could you clarify a couple of things for us:
1. Are we getting our non-standard protocols shaped for both local and international traffic? I am downloading torrents and if someone on the DC network is also d/l the same torrent I get up to 70-80kB/s. As soon as it moves outside of digichilli it's around 0.3kB/s.

I need more clarification on 1. please. Mail me directly.
On 2). That's what we did this weekend.
On 2). That's what we did this weekend. Just a few gremlins and then everyone should be getting there allotted bandwidth properly. Including if it is a torrent or not etc.
What I don't get is why this process has to take so long?
Another thing, are these problems happening to all DC users? I guess DC will say no, but the fact that there were abusers of bandwidth at one stage, indicates that some people were receiving their bandwidth![]()
I can live with that
