Adrenalin, now that is ridiculous!

@ CambodiaDave and Makhulu Chilli:

I find it extremely upsetting to know that you are charging customers for a service that is clearly non existent. Your network is flawed, unstable, slow and completely rubbish! I Will NOT and I repeat WILL NOT pay DigiChilli a single CENT until you clean up your act and start delivering what has been promised. To those of you who are "happy" or can "live" with this whole 20% discount, I call BS! In my honest opinion I think that everyone deserves to be refunded for your crap service and for everyone to be continuing to trial your network because I dont feel ANYONE should be paying for an unusable service AND I think that a lawyer should perhaps be involved.

Makhulu Chilli, I dare you to tell me that "I dont have" to use your network if I dont want to. This is completely ridiculous! I have not been able to use your network for a few days. You are SO lucky that im still on your trial account, or else I would have gone to a lawyer myself!

Fix up your FSCKING network and stop charging your customers! your 20% discount will not work with me AND should not work with anyone else!

I hope you take this very seriously as I am, because more then half of the people here, are thinking the same as I am.

Thanks for the updates Dave,

They are appreciated, and I do understand that there are a few users that are trying to circumvent the controls you put in place...which is not cool at all.

I hope these changes bring some stability to the network and you can get things running the way they should be running.

CambodiaDave: I dont need a refund, I havent payed DigiChilli a single cent since I'v had my trial account, and I will continue not to pay DigiChilli for this trial account that im still using until I see a stable network with no complaints from its users. I feel that im speaking more for everyone else here. If you want to take away my trial account because I have not paid for it, then so be it. I will move over to another ISP who will provide me with good service.

Edit: You should not be profitting off peoples misery. People have been stuck with no internet for weeks now. Stop charging people for your services that clearly need ALOT of work. Go back to trialling your network because thats exactly what you should be doing.

Yes, for the people that have paid, the service hasn't been up to par and I can only imagine that grates against everything that Dave and the boys are about, and they are working to get it fixed.
 
hi dave, are we up and running again this morning? i must say, that even with the problems ou guys were having, i got full value for money, got more downloading done than i would have with any other uncapped ISP.

If you've got such a huge issue, consider these two things:
a) you didn't pay for it
b) either critisise with respect, or pm Dave and talk to him. We don't want to hear such attacks here, even though a lot of the users may be frustrated.

Bravo and well said! I feel exactly the same way. Be careful you might just get a PM from DigiChilli (like I did) which basically tells you to shut up, as they can't take critical views on a PUBLIC board.

Not to mention the fact any reporting I was giving was considered useless.

So everyone else, it has almost been a month and what has exactly happened or improved? Anyone who puts up with this, deserves the terrible service they get. If you offer a product either do it properly or not at all.

I must admit, no issues on my side. However I need to PPPOE through windows to get the account working. For some reason I cant do anything when I'm connected in router mode :wtf:

By no means did I say that. But for a person just to lose it completely just shows why he shouldn't be participating in the trial and on the forum.

At which point does getting aggressive solve ANYTHING?

I haven't paid for the service either because I'm on a Trial account and yes I'd be upset if I'd paid but in this month I've managed to download a HELL of a lot more than any other provider would have given me for R300 or even R500, so I would guess more than a few people have actually received good value for money, but not necessarily the best user experience. But then I think you're just venting because you need something to be angry about.

If you have such an issue with Digichilli, remember that nobody is forcing you to use their service. You did not at any point pay for it, so if you were to leave you don't have to lose anything. At the moment you are losing any respect people may have had for you. The trial is there to help them get everything sorted out. Not ALL the issues experienced here have been in DC's control and the most they can do is escalate the issue with the respective people.

Now grow up and handle this in an adult manner.

What does paying for it have anything to do with their network? So your saying that just because I have not payed for it that Im experiencing bad service? So all the people that have payed for it are experiencing good service? So in essence your saying Digichilli splits into 2 groups:

1) the people who have not paid -----> crap service
2) the people who have paid ------> excellent service

What a CROCK!

Secondly, I dont feel like im attacking, Im simply trying to exaggerate a point, that while all you "happy" customers who are paying for a non existent service. I will not. Simple as that. And if anyone else feels the same as me, then they should speak up.

What the users who have had decent speeds fail to realise is the fact that not everyone is getting them. I struggle to even download 100mb a day on this account. I just can not use it, and there are many more such as myself.

You may not feel like you're attacking, but you're acting like a petulant little child who hasn't got their way.

If you don't want to pay for the service that you've experienced for free in the last month, then don't. Go find another ISP that will give attempt to give you 2 concurrent 256k burstable connections for R500 a month.

I think you are unable to hit the broad side of a barn with your argument.
I have paid for this service and have at times been pretty pissed with the service I have received. I have however written off the R240 as an expensive trial and I'm trying to make the most of it. If you haven't noticed, it has been getting better.

When I have had a serious issue, I pm'ed Dave and described the situation to him, explaining what the issue is. This is the easiest way to resolve the situation.
The fact that at the END of the month, Dave is still willing to refund payments, tells you that he wants the users to make use of his service in the future.

Now I suggest that if you want to rant, buy a little spiral notebook and rant in there, because we really don't care about such agressive (yes, you are being aggressive) rants.

Oh Believe me, I am remembering that Im not paying for it. And Im remembering ALL the promises DC made which has still not been kept. And Believe me, I couldnt give a $h|t about losing respect from people on this forum. I think you are forgetting that the Trial is over and that DC have launched publicly and are taking peoples money while they "fix" their network.

Completely Unethical.
