Trying to do some HTTP downloads but they keep dropping

Still no working intl FTP...

I just tested this again by grabbing an iso from an intl http server (15KBps without my other internet activity)
and then the same server but in ftp mode..... a solid 1KBps, translating into 3MB per hour, instead of 100-140MB an hour

A few minutes ago I was getting about 12KBps over http now it's dropped down to about 6.

Browsing seems ok. Don't really feel like trying Steam again right now.

The 6 hour resets are quite a let down, without them things could actually complete, but they kill downloads part way through that can't be resumed.

I got myself "FreeDownloadManager" which helps with the 6-hourly resets. My ADSL is up and running again about 40s after being kicked (I let the router dial) and none of my downloads have failed.

Still nothing for me. Local/int. browsing, NNTP, torrents. All dead.

It will only end at the end of a billing cycle, so at the end of the month.

Have you guys tried to disconnect and reconnect again when unable to browse sites? And try to enter the DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 manually. Worked for me

Unfortunately even with FDM there are certain servers that do not allow download resuming, so the resets are still a problem with those.
