Dave, please tell me when my account will be sorted out - if I send you another PM it will be the 3rd today, why can I not authenticate? This is going in for the second day now - I'd hate to spend more on a second dsl account.

At this point any info will help.

http://www.rankingtoday.com/net/visual-route.php shows packet loss fluctuating between 28%-70%.

Still cannot log into Secondlife. Same as always, the last few days, it just gets halfway.

Online and desktop diagnostics tests still hang or show failure to complete tests.

Did a reset just take place, Dave...at 8pm?

Does that knock the heavy users off for a short while?

Radius Problems Again

I just got kicked off also by the reset and I cannot log back in again.

I think it is still Radius problems as when I try to login to the userstats.adsl.saix.net site, it rejects my login.

Hope they resolve this soon.

How is everyting this morning? ... not too good from what I can gather.

Can assure you this much ... when the service was working it was awesome and we had tons of fun with it ....

Hang in there :)

I remember that day, it was awesome when it was working.

roflmao i thought i was the only one getting those results on the pingtest for local. guess im not, 96% packet loss, ping time is beautiful but wats the use wen u lose 96% of the data sent or received, lol.

Yep, we now have proof again that the heavy users are the problem. My post before this, and the one before that, with the posts quoted below, show that a reset fixed the problem.

Now the heavy users must be put on separate pipes please Dave.

everything dead. f sakes...

I'm not implying that you two are heavy users, but rather that when people are knocked off, the system works like it should.

I did reboot my router, but still nothing. Am I supposed to "bounce" it or something?

I wanna be able to browse.... and.... stuff :S

I will wait untill the end of the 30th,if i'm still unhappy I'm gonna sign up with Screamer.1 more day to go.

I'm currently able to max my line downloading from several sources at the same time.

Someone was asking if the free accounts have been stopped, I can confirm that they haven't.

@Lightscribe, how do you see those posts as being proof that heavy users are the problem?

I think your theory is flawed - I don't consider myself a heavy user...I got average speeds when it was working and also only logged after 17:00 as I use my laptop to connect. So, average speeds, after 17:00, when it works? Heavy user? don't think so.

Also, I've been having auth issues since yesterday, why all of a sudden would the AAA server give issues for the rest too? Something is not right somewhere.

Because a reset or whatever it was, suddenly allowed an increase in speed. That means there was suddenly less users on. When Dave temporarily removed heavy users, the same thing happened.

There is over-utilisation of the system.

If Dave has the right amount of people on the system, then there would be no problem, unless some are getting everything and others nothing.

Those that are getting 4Mb speeds with a spicy account are killing the system.

I did not accuse you. Even low data users are knocked off. I'm talking about when large numbers are knocked off. See above.

Sorry Lightscribe, did not mean to bite at you. I'm just pi$$id off that after 28 hours, 2 emails and 3 PM's I still cannot authenticate. The last time I heard from Dave was 11:00 this morning, and at that time I was told they are looking into it - I don't know what to believe anymore cause at the moment it looks like I'm the only one who cannot authenticate.
