From the way my link behaves I am throttled back to 256kbps right now, but at least I can work now. Hopefully they will lift this back to 512 for us non-256 people at some point, once the traffic shaping has been tweaked.

This thread is not going to work, i was hoping Dave would just post network issues and info here, i dont want to sift through your stupid posts stating the obvious...

Gapz. Try this. Click Dave's name, go to Find all posts by CambodiaDave. Shows you all he has said on the forum without the need to sift through threads.

Speeds are great this morning. Maxing out my 384kbps line.

Browsing seems to be working fine, both intl. and local. However i still cant connect to gtalk. Any idea's on why?

Edit: GTalk connected after about 10min or so.

Well since we can't use SAIX, and IS banned us, only other options are paid news servers and some free ones (which have horrible limitations).

The decent paid news servers are,
http://www.astraweb.com/
http://www.giganews.com/
http://www.newsdemon.com/

Astrawebs 180GB package seems to be a popular choice among MyBB members. It has no speed limit, allows 50 connections and you can take as long as you want to use it up. ie. A once off package and finish it when you finish it. ^_^

Day 5: and still barely usable for international bandwidth... But glad some of you are seeing improvements

Connection is a little unstable at the moment. Browsing and downloading torrents fine, next minute, it stops, error loading page, then its back up.

I am seeing the same thing. Very irritating for remote access applications that need to stay connected to work properly. Strangely though, my two IRC server connections don't drop, and they are normally the first to go in a case like this. My SSH sessions disconnect every few seconds/minutes though.

EDIT: I suppose this means they are actively working on the shaping issues, which is a good thing. Hope they get it sorted out soon-ish.

Im pinging my line from work and getting extreme fluctuations with latencies from as low as 67 ms up to 1900 ms with lots of request time outs in between. And this is local.:(

I was getting the exact same thing with afrihost.
