but like i said before, it takes too long to transfer to pc and in terms of actual recording time...how long is it? probably 40 minutes at a time, whereas with a hard drive model you can record for hours and hours and then when u want to transfer to pc, it's as quick as snapping your fingers.
Just buy the Samsung MX10 with 4gb Flash memory,expandable to another 4gb with SD card.Currently goes for R2999.00 at Makro.

If i am not mistaken...those harddrive ones record uncompressed so 30gb is not that much.

you are mistaken. All hard drive cameras record compressed footage. For SD cameras it's usually MPEG-2 TS, for HD it's usually AVC-HD (MPEG4 H.264).If i am not mistaken...those harddrive ones record uncompressed so 30gb is not that much.

Doesn't look good. Has 350K pixels active, which is worse than DV, widescreen LCD, but records 4:3... WTF?
