Hi guys.

I am hoping one of you have had a similar problem regarding signing documents vai a graphics tablet.

Our MD of our company uses a Tablet PC everyone else uses standard Pc’s or laptops.
Now my MD prefers a paperless environment so everything is either scanned or converted to PD.
Any documents that needs a signature (quotes etc) are received in PDF, because he uses a Tablet, he simply prints this to his Microsoft Journal Writer where he has the ability to sign the document with his pen, and then prints it to a PDF writer, the signature is applied as another layer in the journal writer.

Now he wants all staff to get a graphics tablet, something like the Genius Easypen i405 so that if needed the staff can sign documents and print them to PDF.
The problem is Windows XP/Vista/7 do not come with the Journal writer and printer driver. Thus not allowing us to edit the document as another layer.
And Microsoft has not released the software from what I have seen as a standalone product.

Have any of you overcome this problem or how do you get around this ?
I know it is simple if it’s a one page document where we can copy and paste into a document, but when we dealing with contracts of 40 pages this is not viable.

Any Ideas will be welcome.
I’m sure someone out there has been through this ?

Regards
Wayne
